MONTEREY PARK, Calif. -- Sheriff's officials say a man has been arrested for investigation of soliciting the murder of the Colorado woman who has accused L.A. Lakers star Kobe Bryant of rape.
The Sheriff's Department says Patrick Graber of El Segundo was taken into custody Thursday morning. He is being held on one million dollars bail.
Officials say the investigation began September 8th after Bryant's security personnel said they'd received a letter from someone claiming he could solve Bryant's problems.
The Sheriff's Department says meetings were arranged with Graber and undercover sheriff's detectives in which a money exchange for the murder was arranged.
Bryant is charged with raping a 19-year-old employee at a Colorado resort June 30th. He has said the sex was consensual.
