Finally GDT mojo returns.
The streets of Houston will run red tonight with the blood of the hated Rockets. Tonight, the Mavs strike a mortal blow.
Mavs win.

Playoffs don't start until the home team loses a game.
This is that game.

Questionable, and RC was coy as to whether there will be an update prior to GT. Not sure if he's trying to mess with the McHale or if the guys are legit hurt.

I want the +6 so bad but with Harris out and Parsons GTD, Im very hesitant. Hell I want the +200 ML if Parsons suits up.

No official update on status of Chandler Parsons or Devin Harris for Game 2. Hint on Parsons: R Jefferson in starters' white at shootaround.

Another hint: Chandler Parsons is doing rehab work as shootaround begins.

I think we come out much stronger in this one. Hopefully we can get Dwight in foul trouble again. Let's limit the stupid, uncharacteristic turnovers to zero.

Mavs 119
Rockettes 117
No Parsons, no Harris, no problem. Charlie V. scores 19 and Amar'e 15 to lift the Mavs to victory. Ray Ray chips in a dozen. Aminu and JJB combine for another 16. Mavs bench outscores the Rockets bench 62-37. Not much defense, but a fun game to watch.

This is where Ellis thrives. Less guys in the way for hero ball, the original hero ball. Lets hope his shot is on.

Well in games he called, he called the road team for 50.9% of fouls which is pretty even by NBA standards, although the home team was +4.4 and .611 in 54 games this season, which is fairly high, but guys like Ron Garretson (.750!!!!) and Dan Crawford (.627) favored the home team more.
He also had this non-call

Mavs need to play a very physical 1st quarter. Leave no doubt that they are the aggressor, even if it means some early fouls. Every time a Rocket comes off the bench and into the game, he needs to be greeted with a very hard foul or at least some serious body contact. The Rocket role players need to be attacked with such fury and intensity that they just want to cower on the bench, and then go home to lick their wounds. I don't think this group of Rockettes can endure the fight being taken to them... I question their maturity and composure. Mavs simply need to want this game more. No need for elaborate strategy, just go out, take this game, and go home 1-1.

Totally agree. Only problem is the mavs have never been that kind of team to be aggressive in their fouling.

This. I'd sure love to see our guys come out with fire from start to finish. The other thing with playing physical defense is those shots that fall early in the series would not be falling as easily later in the series. Leaving guys wide open for 3 and being careless with the ball can't happen again.

Hey guys,
Rockets fan here and yes I'm on CF, but the difference I am not a homer coming on here to troll. Just honestly nice to possibly have a decent discussion with an opponents fan base no matter how much we might dislike each other.
I think at the end of the day there are trolls on both sides and those are what give all of the other fans a bad name. It's honestly the one thing I can't stand dealing with out here in Orange County since i moved. Laker fans are the worst, they are so blind and it's hard pressed finding anyone who isn't a homer and just will say it how it is.
As far as this games goes, I think we have an edge but the truth is it's going to be a close one this game even with you guys missing anyone. Carlisle is too good of a coach to not make adjustments and that's the one huge advantage you have on us.
I would personally be surprised if it's a blowout.
If you want to ban me for being on here I understand, but thought there could be some civil discussion outside of the trolls.
Don't have to like you, but I respect game.
