Is Dirk Tired?
I dont want to ruffle any feathers or anything, but its understandable that after playing so much Dirk might be getting a little beat.
he just hasnt seemed to totally be himself since around the all-star break. i think that was the biggest thing that stuck out to me in the PHX game. i also wish that we would have won because we need to get the division wrapped up and get this guy some rest
thoughts? ideas? cures?

I don't know if it's so much him being tired as it is his ankle.
Whatever it is, I think they should rest the hell out of him.

I think so, I think people shouldn't be shocked if he isn't at full health come playoff time. It could be from different conditioning though, maybe Avery doesn't want him to really exert himself until the playoffs. In Avery I trust.

he's looked tired to me, tho maybe he's doing a little coasting as well. his rebounding has been for crap lately, that's for sure....

Yeah, check out dirk's rebounding numbers lately. He was sliding bad on the boards even before the Bucks game. He hasn't had double digit rebounds since the Detroit game.
He's either tired or coasting or both.

I think not only Dirk but the rest of the Mavs are bored. They are trying to stay focused but when you know you have home court wrapped up it is hard not to let up a little. Avery will try to a point to keep them focused, but I don't think he will do anything but have this team ready for the playoffs. No matter what that entails.

He's got a reason to be. A lot of these players have excuse after excuse written about them and their play when they play in the summer. Dirk has done that every year, and very few people talk about it.
Yeah, I think some rest will do him good. Actually, just the scheduling of the playoffs will help him a ton. Get a day or two off between games, with less travel, and he'll be much more fresh.

I think his ankles and knee/thigh bruise are bothering him more than he's letting on and he's still recovering from flu like symptoms. I don't think he's tired, he's just a little beaten up right now. He'll be fine, and he'll turn it on when he's needed most.

Dirk will be fine. All of the Mavs are a little beat up right now. It's part of the regular season. Once the playoffs kick in and the adrenaline starts flowing, they will all get back in the groove.

Maybe a lil tired and beat up some. I wonder also if Avery doesn't want him taking chances and getting injured. I have noticed the rebounding going down alot also. Let's get everyone heathy and hold on to that first spot. That way we won't have to face Phx and SA. They will elimanate each other and we only face one of them. I feel SA will beat them but with Nash, anything is possible.

I think him & Jason Terry are a little tired. It is very clear for us who watch the majority of the games on TV or at the AAC. But 3 more games, and then coast I say..
Dirk is also hurt , both ankle and stomach illness. This 3 days off is good for him, as he will play on friday next. Jason Terry should start slowing down soon. After Monday's April 9th win against the LA clippers..should be the last game they play at full strength, then these guys should see no more than 15 minutes per game..dat's it.. 3 more games and we win the regular season western conference .
