Flashback to Rajon Rondo
Dude has made a complete turnaround these past few years since leaving Dallas.
They never really disclosed what went down in Dallas.
Speculation was that he clashed with Rick over play calling responsibilities.
Read a recent article about him and how he was allowed to make more decisions in New Orleans and LA on his own.
Hated to see Lebron win another ring but I was happy for Rondo and Javale McGee.
Hopefully Mavs can find some gritty tough vets this offseason in that Rondo mode.

You were happy for Rondo? He literally sabotaged our team, including in the playoffs, due to his overly inflated ego. Boston traded him because it was an open secret he would just not bother to show up(play hard)more than half the time. Bill Simmons was talking about before we even traded for him.

Rondo's own teammates opted not to give him his playoff share. He quit. He was great for the Lakers.
All these things are true. When summed and averaged, IMO F Rondo.

There was only one player in the Finals that I hated more than Lebron and it was Rondo

Rondo didn't want to be here. Fine. Rondo didn't get along with Rick. Fine. Rondo wanted freedom to call plays. Fine.
Rondo literally quitting on his team in the playoffs which is basically unheard of. Burn in hell f'er.

Lots of guys screw up at different stages of their career.
Rondo was probably at his lowest point in Dallas.
But the change of scenery has clearly benefited him on New Orleans and LA.
Who would have ever thought the young players on those two teams speak highly of Rondo.
Apparently he took a look in the mirror at himself and made changes for the better.
Good to see him and Javale each win another ring.

When exactly did Rondo change for the better? Because even when he visited here a year later after he quit on his team iirc he tried to trip deron williams from the bench while shooting a 3.
The dude is trash.

I second that motion. Maybe all the Rondo chatter inspired him.
Oh and F Rondo.

He changed Jerseys. That's it. He's still a btch and a borderline scrub. I am not moved a tiny bit that he won another ring. In fact I could watch a video of him dropping it down a storm drain on repeat for a good 20 mins.

And now he's opting out of his Laker's contract...although it's most likely just a ploy to get more money.

The love that Rondo received during the game was overwhelming
Even Richard Jefferson was overflowing with love for Rondo. Jefferson was on our team the same year as Rondo and was one of the players who voted for no playoff money for Rondo. Now the Dallas situation for a "growing experience" for Rondo
F Jefferson

A Dirk led lockerroom decided to deny him his playoff share. Thats all you need to know.
But of course the little prick still tries to blame Carlisle for it years later on podcats etc. Talking about "growing up" lmao
So again F Rondo. Cant wait until he old ass is washed out of the league
