Any chances to make the playoffs?
We have 22 games left...we would have to win around 15...
8 opponents, i consider legit title contender...
for that reason, i say we won`t make it...maybe that´s better anyway...

5 teams (Utah, Houston, LA, Portland and Dallas) for 2 spots. I see Utah falling out of the playoffs and the lakers moving in. I we are lucky GSW will slide and then it gives a better chance. Overall it is make or break time now.

My bet is no. But you never know. Our schedule is pretty favorable in April so if it comes right down to the wire there's an outside chance of squeaking in. But I wouldn't bet on it as they'd have to put together a streak this month which is highly doubtful given their schedule. I do think they'll win more than they loose this month which will probably put them in a position to hit .500 by the end of the season.

Yes. But the way it looks right now it may be Utah, LA, and Dallas battling for the 8th spot rather than Houston. Utah has already beat us twice and we meet once more. LA has beat us 2 of 3 and we meet once more. And Portland is still in the mix as well though their horrible losing streak in Feb makes me question their ability to light it up at this point.

The Warriors, Rockets, and Lakers all have considerably easier schedules than we do the rest of the way.
edit: oh, and we're not very good.

Numbers wise, yeah we have a decent shot.
But have you seen the Mavs this year? I was hoping for a nice run after the all star break. When that didnt happen, and nothing had changed, it was clear the playoff streak was ending.
Hopefully a strong run to the end of the reason will give a glimmer of hope for the next season

We're 4.5 games back from a PO spot or 5.5 games since Utah has the tie breaker.
We're 7.5 games away from the worst record in the west...that's what I'd be gunning for.

No... you guys are building chemistry for next year. Maybe a high pick in the draft and a good FA persue in the offseason can put a team around OJ/Marion/Dirk.
Players like Collison, Wright, Brand and Vince should stay in my opinion.

Looks like the Lakers are doing exactly what we needed to do. Heating up at the right moment and having their best player playing out of his mind. They will be in the playoffs in no time and they were behind us just a few weeks ago...

1. Thunder
2. Spurs
3. Grizzlies
4. Nuggets
5. Clippers
6. Rockets
7. Lakers
8. Warriors
That's my guess for the playoffs in the west.

Fight for .500 and see how it plays out. We've got one more game against Utah, Lakers, and Portland. Treat all those as if there playoff games.

And as they say if frogs had wings they wouldn't keep bumping their ass on the ground.

Lakers putting things together against the bulls right now.
2 teams will have to drop out of the playoffs because mavs aren't jumping the lakers

Lakers beat a Bulls team who have like 5 guys injured. I hope the Magic put some revenge to Dwight Howard Tuesday.

Lakers are a much better team than the Mavs. They look like a playoff team.

Sadly, they have the pieces too. And they're finally starting to learn to work together.

They've got 2 games against Golden State, 1 against Houston, and 1 against Portland. Also their next 10 games will only have 2 at home. So, lots can change by April.

Why not? Total lack of talent, and there are no rules or statistical principles that a win streak has to come.

Sounds like the same thinking that cubes bought into that he would get Dwight and chrispaul/deron.

I wouldn't go that far, the Lakers beat the Hornets, Raptors and banged up Bulls team.
I still whon't be shocked in the Lakers move to the 7th seed and Mavs get the 8th seed.

I'll speak rationally and logically on the part of those who can't.
I'd be shocked. But it would be nice to see the Lakers and Rockets sweat bullets if we can keep winning at a high clip to wrap up this season.

Lakers are 16-6 last 22 games. Damn they turned the corner fast but they have the talent to do so. Were a starting C/PG to be right there.

Coming into today the Lakers are 15-6 in their last 21, with a differential of +1.4 per game. Before that, they were 17-25 with a differential of +0.8. My point is they aren't actually playing much better or near contender level, just like they were unlucky to start the year they have been lucky over this streak. But yes the Lakers are still better than the Mavs. GS and Houston both have home heavy schedules the rest of way and should make the playoffs. So no I do not see the Mavs making the playoffs and also I don't want them to. A Spurs/Mavs series this year would be one of most lopsided matchups in history not to mention I want the small chance of a top 3 pick.

Mbt fails on so many levels. From the breakup of the team to the way it's been handled ever since. Mark Cuban is the new Jerry of big D.
I can't believe these idiots are still holding onto the playoff dream when the best possible outcome is to get swept by the Spurs with the losses being an average of 20+ points a game.
Donnie has only succeeded when he can out spend everyone else. He hasn't drafted a single player of significance in his whole career. The latest installment included blowing our dry powder on a slightly overweight 36 year old Paul Pierce. fml
