It appears I need to remind posters that it's not allowed to post any part of private messages on the board. If there is a problem, say someone is making threats, bring it up to a mod.

They're private for a reason. As far as I know, anything goes for pm's. That can be a subject that posters want to take further than what a thread might. It might be a subject that is inappropiate for the board. Whatever your reason to use the pm function, it's for private conversations no matter how innocent or vulgar.

If someone sends you something that offends you, or they're trying to start an argument you're not wanting to enter, put them on the ignore list so they can't send you anything anymore. If they take it further by posting somewhere on the board, one of the mods will catch it. If we don't, report it to a mod and bring it to our attention.

It's that simple.

Exactly, thank you for bringing that up.

Private messages cannot be accessed by anyone, not even the mods. So, to take an excerpt from a private message and put it on the board when it can easily be altered and no one would know the better is uncalled for.

It would be a he said/she said argument and one that doesn't need to include the whole board. If you can't settle it between yourselves, bring it to a mod and we'll go from there.

The MFF's comment about the PM's sounds good to me...

...but it doesn't resolve the other issues that harm this place.

The fights have to disappear; they don't bring anything good for anybody nor for D-M, no matter who is righ or not.

Fights are not debates.

But in order to the fights be ended, the Community Standars should be revised and applied to the letter.

if we can get back to the original topic, ..what i'm pointing out is that fighting/debating/arguing..all of that is what makes a discussion board worth going to. if everyone agrees, it would be very dull.

but, i'm sure we could all sit around and kiss each others ass for a few months and we could see how quickly the board deteriorates

That is one of the most asinine statements I've read from you. I'll give you the debating part, but to fight accomplishes NOTHING except ill will. Which obviously is something you thrive on.

And on the issue of deteriorating the board.... there is only one poster on this forum that I think could accomplish that. He/she does their damndest to do that very thing.

Its not a he said/she said argument. I posted the same to other members. It's simple. If you don't want to be embarassed by your pms than don't post something that you wouldn't want others to see. No one maniuplated anyones post. I posted it to other members and they have been in this same situation with Doc. No one is suprised.

What was chickenshit was the the fact that he sent me 8 or 9 exceptionally vulgar pm's and then fabricated one of mine to fit his sick agenda. He is a liar. I will share the entire pm thread with anyone that would like it but it is a very vulgar thread on his part. I'm 100% connfident he will whine again soon in this thread but I will share it if you want the sick details.

I had no problem with taking the PMs. It was till he got sick of PM'ing me and he decides to post in the Lounge. I'm sure some of you guys saw them in the Word ASsociation thread. You talk about how we need to censor ourselves (Re: the F-word) b/c kids might be reading this board. What's much more harmful than that word, though, is your behavior, which tells kids (including your own) that it's cool to attack and belittle those posters whom you disagree with.

thebac- I was going to just let this slide, but what you don't see are all the pm's that the ignorant ass sends. He tries very hard to show one side in the forums and dear lord he is completely different in pm's...except for being the most ignorant ass I have ever seen. You have no idea of the entire set of facts. Not having that insight, you are making assumptions without a complete satchel of facts.

Another thing that you have done is to rip a partial excerpt from a post and try to make it sound like it was the main point, which is obviously was not. FFM likes to pull this crap as well. Your post removed one piece from my original post and you fired off a response on perhaps the lesser of the points in the original post.

Since you did that, I will address your post even though it was weakly constructed.

It was however many was needed. FFM is not stubborn. Stubborness implies a basic understanding and conscious decision to not waver in opinion. FFM hasn't the integlligence needed to to be stubborn. And as far as the attacking goes, you don't recognize HIS stuff? Granted the worst of it was in pm, but you don't know the whole set of facts so until you do..butt out.

I will never apologize for making a post to get folks to stop using the F-word. If anyone can't understand the need for that they are just being stubborn or lack intelligence. That post was made during a time when the f-word showed up 20 times in every thread.

Much more harmful? That's pretty lame. Although I certainly agree it has not been a contribution to the board, it hardly inspires attacks from kids. Nice sensationalistic post though. Someone please explain what sensationalistic is to FFM.

What about the other points that you patently ignored in the original post that address the crux of the posts message? (someone please explain crux to FFM) FFM refuses to consider facts. He did in fact break the rules. He did in fact fabricate a post. He can not keep his word. He can not post intelligently. He butchers the english language that he claims to understand. And he sends racially charged pm's, vulgar pm's and outrageous pm's that he vehemently denies. (someone please explain vehemently to FFM). When someone tries so hard to be ignorant, he should be exposed as the dunderpate he is. (And please...someone explain dunderpate to FFM).

In my opinion, the problems are the insults and the double standard.

I can't find a way to properly rate intelligence, at least at this site.

If you doc (or FFM, or Chiwas or whoever), stop the insults,

if anybody who finds a "non intelligent" post ignores it and therefore avoids the personal attacks,

if the mods perform to the letter their responsability, without the double standard or pretending to ignore a problem, or not attending complains of the members,

if we don't use the PM's for harassment, but to chat and share personal beliefs,

this place can be a very good place to belong, instead of feeling embarrassment as the last days.

No one did anything to Doc. He is just trying to have people sympathize for him but alot of us see through that. He can alter the pms I sent him if he likes I could careless however he sent me a vulgar pm to start out wtih and I sent him one back his way. Simple as that.
