The major point pro Trade
we turned Raef and trash into Walker a 3 time all-star p/f. Its really simple, who wouldn't make that move? All this chemistry stuff is b.s. . . . NVE was supposed to be a problem, so was Hardaway ect. The bottom line is when the time comes we can fill the whole in at center who will net us a better player . . . Walker or Raef. . . not to mention Walker does bring to the table elements that were missing from the Mavs . . . our players are more athletic, our players are better rebounders, are players are younger, are players taller, and are players are marginally better defenders. Furethermore the arguement that we have a "logjam" at p/f is inherently flawed. Walker can play 3 positions, Jamison can play 2, and Dirk can play 3 as well . . .where is the logjam? The only thing that hasn't gone our way this offseason is the signing of a 30 + year old center who hasn't had a productive season in the NBA for 2 years. ALL YOU PEOPLE WHO KNOCK WALKER AND SAY THE EAST MAKES HIM LOOK BETTER, doesn't that same arguement cross aply to Mourning? Isn't Mourning and undersized center? Can Mourning gaurd Shaq? probobly not, I like this trade for 3reasons. . . it makes us significantly better talent wise, it makes us more versatile (who would of thunk it?), and it give us Major Trade Fodder for when the next big trade happens. Just like the Jamison trade did, just like the NVE, Raef trade did, just like the Howard trade did, just like the Hardawaytrade did . . . and try not to overlook, we had a better record each year, and advanced further and further in the playoffs.
