I havent made a dumb trade attempt for ages
Donnie shows up in New Orleans and sits with management there to arrange
Dallas trades: SG Michael Finley (17.3 ppg, 4.3 rpg, 2.5 apg in 38.1 minutes) PF Alan Henderson (3.6 ppg, 4.4 rpg, 0.3 apg in 15.8 minutes) Dallas receives: PG Baron Davis (19.7 ppg, 3.9 rpg, 7.3 apg in 33.8 minutes) PF PJ Brown (10.8 ppg, 9.2 rpg, 2.3 apg in 36.6 minutes) SF George Lynch (4.3 ppg, 4.1 rpg, 2.2 apg in 23.4 minutes) New Orleans trades: PG Baron Davis (19.7 ppg, 3.9 rpg, 7.3 apg in 33.8 minutes) PF PJ Brown (10.8 ppg, 9.2 rpg, 2.3 apg in 36.6 minutes) SF George Lynch (4.3 ppg, 4.1 rpg, 2.2 apg in 23.4 minutes) New Orleans receives: SG Michael Finley (17.3 ppg, 4.3 rpg, 2.5 apg in 38.1 minutes) PF Alan Henderson (3.6 ppg, 4.4 rpg, 0.3 apg in 15.8 minutes) TRADE ACCEPTED dont think I'd pull the trigger on that one....Lynch could backup Howard at the three, bumping Stack and Daniels to the 2 where they belong. P.J. could backup Dirk and Damp. B-Diddy can't be relied upon but he's friends with Terry I hear and he might suddenly get healthy....who knows... Finley and Brown both have trade kickers...dunno...can't see more than this years salary so I cant figure out salaries beyond this year for the Hornets. |

I was just trying to think of trades last night that centered around Finley for Magloire, but i couldn't find anything both teams would do.
Even though that trade would save them money, the talent gap is too wide to do that trade.

EL, what about Finley/Booth for Mashburn/Brown/Lynch. Mash has one year after this one which Dallas could buy out and not count against the cap. Brown replaces Booth and takes some of Hendu/Bradley minutes. This also allows the mavs to let Hendu walk after this year, and frees up a spot at center for one of the young bigs. Lynch has one year after this one as well, and would provide insurance at the swing positions.
