RE: Sarunas Jasikevicius highlight video
Looks like his favorite target is Dallas's own Maceo Baston...
As far as Jasikevicius, would he come here knowing he could very well be the 3rd PG? There seems to be quite a bit of interest and I'm sure he could find a better situation.

Good find. Some very nice passing and vision on display there.

RE:Sarunas Jasikevicius highlight video
Who says he will be the third point guard?????
If he outplays Terry, he's in front of Terry. If he outplays Harris, he's in front of Harris.
I don't think this guy is afraid of a little competition.

I missed something, is this guy signed with Dallas already?

Wouldn't mind bringing this guy in and have him compete against Harris and Terry for the starting nod. He appears to be a solid shooter from downtown, based on his performance against the US in the olympics and seems like a fiery guy -- something avery might appreciate?

Solid shooter? He's a beast from beyond the arc!

RE: Sarunas Jasikevicius highlight video
Yeah he does look slow. He will have trouble penetrating with NBA defenses from the looks of those hi-lites.

RE: Sarunas Jasikevicius highlight video
I didn't think the highlights showed near enough of his penetrating or defending to get any kind of a read, good or bad, on how he'd do in those respects. His crossover certainly looked deceptive enough to be effective at the next level.

RE:Sarunas Jasikevicius highlight video
From Mark Stein:
I'm told Maccabi Tel-Aviv point guard Sarunas Jasikevicius, whose teams have won the past three Euroleague championships, wants a three-year deal to finally leap to the NBA … for $5 million annually. The 29-year-old, in other words, wants the full mid-level exception.

RE:Sarunas Jasikevicius highlight video
I doubt he'd be able to exist in an enviornment with 3 point guards. Let's stick with Devin and accelerate his development.
He'd be a tremendous pick up for Utah......Seriously

Cleveland is going after him pretty hard and he could start there.

He didn't really penetrate the European defenses in the highlight video either. He doesn't need to.
However, quickness and speed are two different things. By the looks of that crossover, he's pretty quick. Another example of someone who has quickness without speed is Steve Nash. He penetrates defenses rather easily without being stunningly fast. Both of these guys have good court vision and a good jump shot.
Point is, I think this guy would do well in the NBA regardless of his speed.

RE:Sarunas Jasikevicius highlight video
does that guy who's dunking on everyone in those clips come with him ? seems like thats what the mavs need most, but he's really got some impressive passing. He may make a nice fit as a back up in Dallas . But as far as him getting the full mid level exception, I say give it to a power forward or center

I agree, in the video, i was reminded of steve and amare. The suns should have got Sarunas to backup nash.
