Spurs vs. Nuggets First Round Series Thread
Looks like it's going to be a good series, I could see this going 7 games. Camby is an awesome defender and could give Duncan some problems. Iverson and Melo are tough covers and the Spurs can only put Bowen on one of them. It's going to be a good series.

Nuggets off to a good start, their defense on Duncan has been great so far. He's started 0-6.

Nene and Camby look real good rebounding so far.

Nene has really developed into a good player since he lost the weight. I'm a fan of his game. Camby has seem re-energized on this Denver squad as well. Will be a great series. The pure talent of the Nuggets will give the Spurs some trouble at times. I still say SA takes it but it sure will be entertaining to watch.

I agree, that was his board I didn't see a foul.

They need to start covering the Spurs' three point shooters better or this lead won't last for long.

He's learned from Ginobli.

As soon as Camby and Nene come out the defense collapses...

Too many careless TO's and fouls by the Nuggets.

Spurs look pathetic--worse than I have seen all season long.
Hard to believe they are only down by two at the half.

Wow, Nuggets have managed to keep a slight lead throughout... Even if they lose, it won't be a blowout...

Spurs are playing horrible. But the Nuggets can't get a lead bigger than 3 on them. They need to stomp on them while they're down because eventually Duncan, Ginobilli or Parker are going to get it going. The Spurs better thank their role players for keeping them in this game.

And btw, this has probably been the best officiated game i've seen in the post season. They're letting them play but not letting it get out of hand.

Finley's 6-11. Not sure why he's not getting more shots. Especially since their big 3 is stinking it up.

True, but Nene has been the difference tonight, IMO.

Blake is not going to outshake Parker. They better try and get AI the ball on the inbound pass or they're going to get penalized again.

I think the difference tonight was the fact that Melo was 10-18 and AI is 11-21 lol. Can't have two superstars shooting over 50% and expect to win. Not to mention Ginobilli is 4-14.

Denver what the fuck? Its now a 4 point game and it seems like no time at all went off the clock. Don't choke this shit away.

4 point game with 21 left on the clock. Its going to take some clutch shooting for the Spurs to get back into this one.

This loss means nothing for the Spurs.
The last two times I can recall San Antonio losing its first playoff game at home were against the Suns in 2003 and the Nuggets in 2005. The Spurs won titles both years.

Why would SA bring the ball up down six with ten seconds left and not shoot a three??

AI and Melo were dominant tonight. If this is going to happen every night then the Spurs might be in for an upset. All it took tonight was for them two to score 60 and they won tonight.

Good game by Denver. I can see them getting a few games this series.
I think all of the Western match-ups are good ones. Not so sure about the Eastern 1st round match-ups though....
