Kidd for AI
Denver gets to run even more. JKidd reunites with KMart and takes advantage of their athletic bigs and wings (Melo, Nene, JR)
Dallas gets a legit scorer, Dirk's version of Gasol. Our window stays about the same. A little tougher and much faster. We'd get very small in the backcourt so maybe JET goes somewhere for a legit two.

Big men who can pass, score, have high basketball IQ, and good defender (I think Pau is a very underrated defender)...are VERY hard to find in the league nowadays.
You cannot equate Pau to AI.
AI = high volume of shots & needs the ball in his hands constantly.
Pau = efficient volume of shots who can score with or without the ball in his hands 24/7
but that being said..go ahead do it. We need new blood on this team. AI = 2nd most heart in this league next to KG.

I meant it more as someone who can consistently get you points every game and draw defenders every possession beside your franchise player.

How about Kidd for Nash. Mavs get offense Suns get defense. Co-world Champions in 20NEVER.

I think it's safe to assume that horse is in charge of personnel decisions for the Dallas Mavericks.

Iverson averaged 26 points and 7 rebounds this year... he has "something left".. as does Kidd.

I would take Iverson for Kidd in a heartbeat.
But would Denver do it? I think it would be good for them as well. ... and a trade would work if it was done next season rather in the summer.

Denver would never trade ai for Kidd. Kidd is older and doesn't have alot of trade value anymore. Iverson can penetrate and shoot. Kidd needs to be on an athletic running team. He is on a dead old team with us. Dirk would be great with Kidd, or Nash would if the make up of the team was right.
He has no one running to the basket. Teams break us down and make us play half court and make our pg beat them. This means penetrate or be very athletic. Let's face it, Kidd is old and has mileage and he isn't a Harris or Tony Parker. Harris and Parker will go one on one and break a defense down in half court. They can go one on 3 and still beat 3 players alot of times and that breaks a defense down. All we are is a stand still horse, bombing team from long range. We are an Antoine Walker team that stands still and shoots.
Alot of this is Cubans and Avery's fault. You must not be broke down to a stand still half court team. If we want to be this way, why trade Finley. That is not winning basketball. To even give our old guys a chance, you must make the game a full court game. You must open it up. That is Kidds game. He can't stand still and be a bomber. How much does Kidd have left? Not sure. He is not and will never be a great stand still player.
So see the problem we have? A running full court but older pg but a hall of famer one or was and maybe he still is, but we have stand still shooters that alot of them do not play full court. We have a center that is a defensive center and he is not involved any in offense, so again Kidd has no center to throw the ball to. Then aagin, Avery does not like to play Dampier when we face running teams or when we try to run.
We have no style. The very dangerous thing that could happen next, is if we trade Howard, you better get something good in return or if they trade Dirk because when these two go, then we have nothing left for trade value. Terry and Kidd will bring a little. We went the wrong way, did not cure any weakness we had and in return got older. All bad and this is in combination with Avery getting much worse and the west getting much better.
