newest member will be here tomorrow!
I am so excited! I have been in the hospital since Tuesday being monitored for pregnancy induced high blood pressure, and I thought my induction day would never come. It feels like I have been in this bed for months. But tonight I will be moved to a labor and delivery room and will be given something to prep my cervix (so sorry guys for TMI!). Then tomorrow morning between 5 and 6 am they will start me on pitocin to get my contractions going more regularly (I have been having them for weeks as it is!) and sometime tomorrow Luke will be officially evicted from my womb! I couldn't be more excited! I am very anxious and nervous about the pain though so any prayers would be greatly appreciated! I will update tomorrow with our newest member's official stats. Here's hoping to a 7 pound baby and not a 10 pounder!

why am I posting from the hospital? quite frankly, because I am bored out of my mind! I have been here almost a week, and I'm so sick of tv, magazines, and books. thank God for wireless internet and laptops!
and thanks for all the well wishes! I can't believe I'm going to be a mommy!!

I'm thinking of you raef, and hoping all goes well tomorrow.
One of the advantages of child birth is that its one of those rare moments in life that you can punch someone, and they can't really hold it against you....at least that's what I've heard.
So, keep that in mind.

Wow! That was the hardest thing I've ever done! After several hours of pushing, the doctor decided Luke wasn't going to come out the natural way, so I ended up with a c-section. Luke was born at 6:14 today. He was 7 pounds 10 ounces and 20 inches long. He is the most beautiful thing I've ever seen! Unfortunately I broke my camera earlier this week, but I've attached a link to a pic taken with my phone. He is so awesome, well worth the pain and wait!

sorry for any mistakes - I'm on morphine.
