I liked that article. Honestly I think Fridays games versus the Rox is very important for us, all summer people have been going crazy about how good the Rox are, if we can beat them it will give us some momentum and it will be a good confidence builder.

Well the only problem with that is... we don't have a game vs Rockets Friday... Sooo not sure how we could pull that off.

I just hope it isn't false hope. That last preseason game really left a sour taste in my mouth thinkin about the defense. I have no worries about the offense, but the defense has yet to be there consistently.

Defense is motivation, Boston was dominant a year ago because there was motivation, just like us having the desire to move within the context of the motion offense....you have to be motivated to do it night in and night out. Focus has to be there. Hey Pierce and Allen will never be known as defensive stoppers, but they worked as a unit....there's hope, but the motivation and desire has to be there....every night.

Well I hate to bring us all to reality but Dirk, Howard and Kidd are not Garnett, Allen, and Pierce. They just aren't. Now, I know we can have success this season, but it's not really comparable. Plus, I believe a lot of that defense was Tom Thibeadeau their defensive coordinator.

I do think our depth will pay wonders to be optimistic. I just hope the focus on defense is there.

You only have a case with Howard and Pierce.
