Looks like hotsauce, registered FEB 2003 just a few months before we last took on Portland, has been lurking for some time. Welcome back on board.

Mavs have been coasting for a while. It's time to wreck them and then wreck weak-ass L.A.

Hell no to 7 games. I haven't been this confident about a series in a long long time. Our team is legit. They will play us close, but they will not win. Mavs go up 3-0, get blown out in game 4, and then win by 8 in game 5. BOOK IT.

Marion will outplay Wallace, yeah I said it. Doesn't mean Wallace isn't the better player though.

Thanks, nowhereman... Yeah, i don't post often but I have been a fan for the longest time. Anyway, I am looking forward to beating the blazers. That way, Chris Webber would eat his words about the mavs. Am i the only one who feels this team can take it up another notch? I just feel that if Dirk plays big and aggressive (2006) and terry shows up, then we may be in for an interesting playoff run

I do believe we need to work on defense before this weekend, but if we play as well on the defensive ends of the boards as we did the second half tonight we'll be fine.

I do like the aggressiveness our boys in blue showed tonight it goes a long way towards dispelling that soft image. Not sure what amount of aggressiveness they showed in Houston Monday as my power was out and I could only track scores on my phone that night.

That will be fun. The only thing is the Blazers don't always play Patty Mills as their backup PG. A lot of the time Roy plays backup PG, and if Roy is playing well at all that's going to be a big problem for Barea.

Patty when he plays though is very much a Barea type player. It will be fun to watch them go at it.

How do you think the Blazers approach covering Dirk? Not sure you want Aldridge getting in foul trouble or covering Dirk 1on1.

Gonna be tough, but I think the Mavs can make it. Portland is a good team, but a bit overrated IMO. I expect some serious homecooking in Portland, it's gonna be nasty. The team needs to stay focused and play defense. If that's the case, the Mavs will advance.

I think Wallace and Batum will cover him, which i don't really like, because they're both the kind of defenders that can (not necessary will) give Dirk problems. We're talking about Dirk here though, wouldn't be surprised if he's averaging 32/12 again, on 60-62% TS, like last year and before.

You guys know i'm a Roddy homer, but it's really time to bench him for good (especially with that little injury), and play Kidd, Stevenson, Marion, an Brewer a lot, because i sure don't want to see Miller, Roy, Wallace, Batum, Matthews (OMG) posting up one of our little guys on every freakin' possession. Hopefully Carlisle will go easy with the three guard lineups. Go Mavs!
