What do ya know... Only pitch that wasn't a meatball or a ball during the game tonight. Dirk is awesome at everything apparently.

Dirk is really the Dos Equis man.

In fact that guy who made the German Moses video should go ahead and make one of Dirk.....

Dirk Does the Ron Washington

I wish I could find a better quality video of this. It's awesome how Dirk has embraced DFW sports.

Funny how skinny and "normal" Dirk looks in his street clothes. I still remember all the voices in 1998 "Dirk needs to add ton of muscles" ...and probably look like Sabonis, lol.

At the end of the day it was not Dirk who adjusted to the rest of the league, but vice versa... Ant they still do not know how to stop this skinny unathletic jumpshooter, lol.

Dirk did bulk up though. Quite a bit from his earlier days. Go back and look at the pics from 97-2000 as opposed to 2006+...... he is much stronger than he was back then. Much more muscle definition in his body.

Yes, i know, but there is still some difference between Dirk and guys Gasol, Bargnani, Milicic, Garnett, Bosh or TD. They look (and move) "heavier".

And BTW, if i remember right, Dirk wanted to lose some weight after Kidd joined the team and they started to play up tempo basketball.

EDIT:

Quote:
Over the summer you lost weight. Does that also mean that you change your game again, playing away from the basket, as it was the case in the beginning of your career?

DIRK: “I wanted to be lighter because it is healthier for the bones practicing after four months of rest - and we have had very long practices in October, twice a day. I did not want to get hurt. Basically, I would like to play like last year: mixing it up from every position. Against Washington, I have once again shot a couple of 3’s, which did not happened in the preparation, although I should have gone more to the line. But the situation will change from game to game - my game will not change at all.’’

You are 31 now. Have you ever thought about when your NBA career will come to an end?

DIRK: “I weigh less, and feel physically very good. I feel at the moment I am still on top of my game. But if you are over 30, you have to think about what you want to do after your career. I think I will remain in basketball, because this sport gave me so much. In what position and where I'm going to live, that is still open. I think that I can play at a high level three or four more years. Let's see whether I have achieved my dream winning the championship. But if everything becomes a torture, I'd rather quit sooner.’’

Wait, what? Dirk weighs more than KG and Bosh. He's stronger than both, as well. Dirk is pretty stout, he weighs a legit 245. He's deceptively strong. Did you see him backdown and dislodge Artest in the post? The misconceptions that Dirk is weak and unathletic are really silly. Athleticism is more than jumping. If you can dribble and move like Dirk, you're athletic.

lol The Bosh comment is funny. Yeah Dirk is clearly stronger than Bosh.

Of course Dirk is strong and athletic...and underrated at those aspects.

...but his body shape just does not look like that. After 13yrs of NBA Basketball and gyms he (luckily) still looks like a normal skinny dude with no tattoos or huge biceps. This is all i tried to say.

When Dirk joined the league and everybody was talking about how skinny he was, there were a lot more PFs that looked like Karl Malone and Charles Barkley. He's gotten a little stronger and the league as a whole has gotten skinnier and taller. I would say the average PF size has changed from 6'8" 260 lbs to 6'10" and 250 lbs.
