Mark Cuban gave Bob Ortegel a championship ring
I don't know if anyone saw but he got his ring after the broadcast tonight. Looked like he was on the verge of choking up. Pretty cool moment for a longtime Maverick.

Cuban can be tremendously generous and caring with respect to the Mavs family. It's good biz as well because it builds the brand and the sphere of supporters of the team. But getting carter to accept the trophy, giving Derek, brad Davis and Blackmon rings is just classy.

Yeah I miss Bob announcing. I guess I understand why they got rid of him but I'm glad Cubes showed his appreciation, not totally dismissing him. Awesomesauce

Mavs tv ratings were down a couple years back so Ortegel became the fall guy.
Ortegel is better than Harper IMO. |

I got tired of ortegal. He started to feel like redundant man. Derek is not greatness but I like the different perspective.
