UNLEASH AREA 51... wait is he still wearing that number? He is awesome when he was with the nets. Used to call him that. Not very smart. But with Kidd and Dirk. He will be fine.

Plus he is still young. There is potential. Was really excited with him signing here. He played with Kiddo and VC and man can he throw it down.

Im guessing he hasn't been in rotation cause he just got signed a couple days before season starts, still has to get use to the offense and defense rotation that RC and staff runs.

Again, he needs time. Play him with Kidd/Dirk/Terry and have him play as receiver/rebounder. I say this now, but he just might be the best pick-up this season.
Book it.

Yes, but he gets in the middle of everything, and protects the rim, unlike most of the guys.

5 fouls in 11 minutes? Play him the entire second quarter. Then the Mavs may not be behind by 30 at halftime.

Didn't watch the game but ironically I was thinking this team could use R Hollins on D. He was even more active than TC. They (Hollins and Williams ) sure acquire fouls fast. May be it they had both of them. Thats 12 fouls + Haywood. LOL.

i actually made the comparison on the game thread that williams is a non crazy hollins. May have a little more offensive skill.

I was as blown away as anyone else from last night's performance, but lets hold off and make sure he's not just Gerald Green as a center.

But Gerald green only looked to score the ball. He gave no effort in anything else except going 1 on 1. It may have been only 1 game but Williams gave effort on defense trying to protect the rim, he gave effort on offense going for alley oops, and offensive boards.
Carlisle may not do it but throwing him out there with Dirk/Kidd/Marion/Terry for a few minutes wouldn't be so bad. The other 4 know they can play a zone. And Williams may be able to be the zone guy for a short stretch to try and get acclimated to the Mavs.

I 'd rather see Williams puking all over the bench than everyone else shitting all over the floor! That's hard work, maybe what he was throwing up is contagious.

Agree that it means he's working hard, but it also means he's out of shape for what he's trying to do. I've been there... we used to call it "getting the goo out," sometimes metaphorically, sometimes literally.
The good news is, the goo comes out pretty quick, especially when you're training every day like these guys.

Puking before the game might be one of those Jason Terry Fried Chicken superstition type things. Puking after you come out of a game just means you're out of shape.

He certainly looked like the only Mav that was playing at full speed last night. F it. Play him until other guys decide they want to get after it.

I wish the rest of the Mavs looked that out of shape.

He didn't look too out of shape to me, just looked like he is trying to earn his minutes by busting his ass. I've puked after a really hard work out before and it's not necessarily because I was out of shape. It's just overdoing it a bit.

Guys like this can really fire up a team. Dude left it all on the floor, literally. Now we just need the rest of the mavs to follow suit. There's gonna be a play or a game that gets it turned around. Maybe this guy can make that play? Let him play.

Kidd had TD in nearly 50% of all his games in NJ
Hope Sean will play better near Kidd again.

I really like Shawn Williams. I loved his hustle and energy last night. I feel like Williams and Brandon Wright are already better options than Haywood. Obviously, Haywood ought to be better than both of them. But when he's taking bad shots, out of shape and unmotivated he's not. I hope both Wright and Williams work hard, because they're both very talented and really have a chance to shine on our team.
