Maybe Harrison Barnes and Anthony Davis should just play 1 on 1 to determine this game.

Barnes coming up big in the 4th to try and win this game.
Coincidentally he's going to be benched next game. DNP- Conduct detrimental to team.

We're still the worst team in NBA and as long as we stay bottom 3 I think we'll be okay.

It's funny because you know the advanced statters are going to rag on Barnes for his 9-24 shooting.
I'm just happy that Anderson finally didn't suck a game.

Anything worse than a top 5 pick and I'll be sad. Anything worse than a top 10 pick and I'll be borderline comatose or at the very least calling some mental stability hot lines during the off season. Luckily I saw nothing tonight to indicate we are not a bottom 5 team. It took the young guys playing solid and Wes to take the day off from building small communities with brick donations to get a win by scoring a whopping 91 points vs a team that outside of Davis and Holiday is hot garbage. Winning games like this with the younger guys playing a role and guys like Wes+Bogut showing they are still capable of helping a team who wants to take them off our hands or even give us something to take them are wins I can live with. If it means we go from worst record to the 4th worst record to develop some guys like Barnes, Anderson, Powell, DFS, Curry etc... I think we all should be "ok" with that.
I'm still Fultz speed ahead tho on plan Ottery and I'd guess so are the Mavs. They just don't want to lose at the expense of the younger guys learning bad habits.

He was not good, come on. I understand that it's hard for him to be the focal point on this team, but it is getting clearer and clearer that he is not a first option. His efficiency is tanking hard right now, it is what it is, no need to bash him, but same goes for praise.

Not Barnes' best game, but on a night where both teams shot about 40%, having a guy who is going to be aggressive and also able to chew up possessions for us is valuable. Wes was better and has been shooting the ball really well the past 5 or 6 games, but this is probably the worst offense in the league up to this point and Barnes is the only one keeping it afloat more often than not. I can live with some 9-24 nights when he's playing good defense and making shots in the 4th.

If the choices are (A) Young guys watch the veterans limp through the season and we get 15 wins or (B) Young guys play a lot more than the old players and we maybe manage an extra 8-10 wins because of their on-the-job training, I'll take B every time. I'd rather have the #5 pick being added to a roster full of young guys that have had time to develop together than the #3 pick being added to a roster full of these young guys when they haven't been given a chance.

I'm pretty satisfied with Barnes. The one thing his game is missing are free throws. He's never going to be a first or second option if he doesn't average 6-8 FTs per game.

Didnt have a good game, but his aggression at the end of the game to put this thing away is something a #2 option can do, and occasionally be a #1 from time to time. As a fan, when he got the ball late, I got that "this shot is going in" feeling.

I don't agree with this at all. Character and cohesion only works in this league when it is mixed in with talent, and not just any kind of talent either, but "top 50 all time kind of" talent. Until we get our next "hall of fame Top 50 all time kind of" talent, everything else should be secondary, especially if that notion endangers us getting that franchise talent in the first place.
