Fs Walker, Webber named NBA Player of the Week

NEW YORK (Ticker) - Forwards Antoine Walker of the Boston Celtics and Chris Webber of the Sacramento Kings on Monday were named NBA Eastern and Western Conference Players of the Week.
Walker averaged 28.8 points, 7.8 rebounds and 5.0 assists, helping the Celtics post a 3-1 record for the week.
Walker had his best game on Friday, registering his second triple-double of the season in a 115-100 victory over Cleveland. He collected 33 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists.
The Kings went 2-1 for the week as Webber averaged 28.3 points, 10.7 rebounds and 5.3 assists.
On Saturday, Webber scored 27 points and grabbed 13 rebounds in a 98-96 victory at Utah. He provided the winning points by sinking two free throws with two seconds remaining.
Other nominees for the East award were Ricky Davis of Cleveland, Richard Hamilton of Detroit, Jermaine O'Neal of Indiana, New Jersey teammates Jason Kidd and Richard Jefferson and Eddie Jones of Miami.
Other nominees for the West were Dallas teammates Michael Finley and Dirk Nowitzki, Elton Brand of the Los Angeles Clippers, Shawn Marion of Phoenix and Tim Duncan of San Antonio.
