We did not get swept and we all know first blood is when the home team loses. Well, we drew blood tonight.

Wow. Just wow. The guts of this team. Deron Williams got this train going. Wes squared up Durant crybaby ass all night, Felton with the biggest balls out there, and the rooks Salah and Anderson(game saving blockish)
The only time I want to see Zaza is when my sig shows up in a post.

It is... I couldn't find a working link to 2006, but the joke was implied.

I'm just glad we bounced back after that drubbing the other day... Oh, and there's this:
@ESPNNBA: Mavs were 14-point underdogs, making tonight's win the biggest upset in an NBA postseason game in last 20 seasons.

Especially after narrowly avoiding setting a record for the largest margin of defeat in Game 1.

JJ has a lot of help if he plays off the bench game 3. That could help Felton/Devin even more.

Deron looks like he just needs a days rest. Get some rehab on it. He said he wants to play game 3.

I think he needs more than a days rest. Dude could barely move out there. I hope he can go, but if he becomes a liability on defense RC has to pull him.

There's treatment he can take to calm it down. One thing he said he went by what medical trainer Casey smith said. Though after that, Deron said he can still go. So it's a good thing there's a day off.

That moment when you realize 38 point win is the same as 1 point win. LMAO. Go Mavs!

After reviewing some. Zaza played some solid defense in his role for the most part. He just shouldn't be looked at as an offensive center that much.

@coopmavs: Tonight was just 2nd road playoff win for Mavs since title season. Won G2 in SA in 2014.

Knew westprick would still be a dick and durant chime in on talking crap. They don't leave Charlie alone. I mean he's basically a situational player and we know that.

OKC really screwed the pooch in this one. Playing starters when up by 40. Start game two dancing a jig at half court. All they did is piss off the Mavs. That gave us passion which led to energy which led to hope which led to belief and then finally a win. In reality there isn't a lot of difference between #1 team and #8. Give respect and move on. Piss people off and then it's a dogfight and who knows what the hell will happen.

Mejri and Anderson were both instrumental in this win tonight... Which completely blows my mind since the word on the street is that Rick hates rookies and refuses to develop them... Like, is spontaneous generation a thing and science got it all wrong?

Well in fairness we have four rotation guys injured. Who knows if or how much they play otherwise

How they got their opportunity matters less than what they did with it... Rick prepared them to succeed when their number was called.

It's an interesting discussion whether he plays them because of injuries or not.
One guy who seems to never get any love these days is Harris who tied Mejri with a +17 for the game. The guys who play defense always seem to look good in the plus/minus bracket.

As much as I and others have been sick of RC's rotations and such it rly is a nice luxury to have so many vet guards. Harris may not have the offense the others have but he definitely is better defensively and he has to be top 5 in the nba at reading a player's movements for drawing charges. Harris gives us things that don't show in the stat sheets, like defense, I totally agree those guys usually have solid plus/minus. The exception of course is anyone who played minutes with Zaza got dragged down in the abyss.

Whatever happens in the rest of the series, very proud of the team. This might have been was their Magnum opus of gritty victories. I mean, honestly, with our roster that's limited even when everybody is healthy, and now with four of eight best guys injured, they won in Oklahoma. How amazing is that? Mejri needs to start the rest of the way!

I rly like that CV3 and more importantly Simba didn't shove back(I 100% agree RWB would have started a brawl if the situation was reversed), didn't retaliate physically or by talking they just wanted their presence to say what they thought of that prolonged pregame ritual. We alrdy saw this from Simba with the clip in college where he had a calm composure in a bad situation and he displayed it again, and it was in a playoff game where we got murdered just 2 days prior.

Yeah, the dude has amazing talent but he's holding himself back with his lack of maturity. I keep thinking that he will grow out of it and become this amazing player, but he's already 27 years old ... so it's looking like he is who he is. A guy with too much attitude in the wrong ways.
