Okay...soo I have decided to start this 1 because the last one I started we won...So I am hoping to go 2 - 0. (If it bothers any1 tht its a lil early..sorry but I live on the EAST coast). Mavs are playing @ home so we should come out very strong and sustain throughout the game. Tonite we take the lead bak.
Mavs 102 Suns 93

Dirk will come out huge to make up for a disappointing game 4.
Mavs win 104-95

Basketball immortality is waiting just beyond the Suns. Will they take it, or will they wilt? For the love of all that is good, may the Mavs get the job done tomorrow night.

I was waiting until 12:01 on the dot to start a GD thread (the early GD-thread jinx is probably something we shouldn't be messing around with for this game), but here's what I was going to post anyway. The Bayonet charge pic has been undefeated thus far in the playoffs, and hopefully that will continue, even though I'm not starting the thread (with my all-time perfect playoff game record ).
It's do or die time for these Mavs, and I don't think the team in blue and green is going to be doing much dying in the AA center tonight. Dallas is going to put these damnable suns down in a 3-2 hole tommorow, by winning a tough one, 121-118 ...
More cold, honest steel for yellow bellied, orange-wearing Suns, and Down with Canada! Huzzzaaahhhhhhh!!!!!

Mavs make it up to themselves and the fans for that lack of effort by playing tight defense on the Suns... Mavs 94-88, Nowitzki leads the charge with 25+ and about 15

Here we come reach for your gun
And you better listen my friend, you see
It's been slow down below,
Aimed at you we're the cowboys from hell
Deed is done again, we've won
Ain't talking no tall tales friend
'Cause high noon, your doom
Comin' for you we're the cowboys from hell
The Mavs are Cowboys from hell, and they're taking over your town

I have tickets to game 7 that I really REALLY hope I don't get the chance to use.
Dirk and Terry play like their real selves. Mavs win big at home.

Look for some Offense from one Devin Harris.
Why does Harris get a free pass around here? He scored 30 in game 1, I'd like to see it again. Or even half of it. Keep the ball out of Stacks hands Devin. I get the feeling we're about to see Jet and Stack try way too hard to be a factor.
101-96 Mavs

Pantera + Bayonets = Crazy Delicious
The mojo around here is fierce today. It tastes something like Dallas tops Pfenux.

Before game 4, everyone including myself and the Mavs assumed that the Mavs had this thing locked up. The only way the Mavs win this series is if they play the same system the've been playing all year.
It's funny.... the Spurs went to a smaller line up because they felt they had to and we won that series. Are we being suckered into that same game by the Suns. Why dont we play our bigs and make them play to our game.
Mavs in 7.

All that matters is the Mavs have to win this one - and they will!

the suns have the momentum, the emotional lift from raja bell, a proven coach, and the most resilient team the nba has seen in a long time, not to mention a 2-time mvp. you can throw home court out the window in this series. it doesnt matter. suns win this one 112-107

There a lot of rather non tactful ways we could respond to this (what we can only assume is a Spurs fan) guy...
But maybe we just remind him that the Mavs won a game 7 IN San Antonio. I don't think we need to call the character of the Mavericks into question.
We know all that Raja Bell, momentum, 2 time MVP stuff. Thats nice.
But dude, why are you trying to piss in everybody's cheerios?
Go Mavs.

I oh_so_recently purchased a special six-pack of Guinness...one for each remaining victory this season.
I shall have a Guinness following tonight's game, so help me God I shall.
Brilliant!

Well, I just bought a six-pack of Stella Artois for the six remaining games. And I'm getting thirsty for some Stella.

Yeah.... I have young kids so drinking before they go to bed isn't an option. They are all asleep by the time the game is over though (thanks in part to my wife).
And, yes, I am a lightweight. But I sure do enjoy it when we win.

If the Mavs attack the rim, they will win. If they settle for crap shots, they will lose. We shall see if the Mavs attack the rim tonight or if they constantly settle for the 20 footer. They have to draw fouls on Phoenix and get easy shots at the rim (while still getting back on d after the free throws or cloe in shots).
I think the Mavs will come up shiort this game. I think it will be close... like Game 1.

Ok but if (Dirk forbid) they lose, you should probably just go ahead and drink all six tonight.
