D-M Fantasy Football 2010-2011
It's almost getting to that time of the year!
With myself...alby, UD, jthig, chum, u2, nikeball, flaco, DirkFTW, FINtastic, left texas and MavsWiLLHaVeRinGs - you guys are the 11 owners from last year. Invites are being sent out.
I hope you guys want to stay on board, I know we had some issues over the course of the year. Now it's clearly in the offseason and we've got time to talk it out. So let's discuss!
I know the two many issues were the start 2QB aspect and the PPR aspect.
Let's figure it out!

Ah, I was wondering when we were getting this cranked up.
And no 2 QBs this time!

Besides, I don't think we are in any rush. We should probably wait a little longer for the draft than we did last year. I think it'd be a good idea to let a few preseason games get completed before we do the draft this time.

DEFINITELY keeping busy
Yeah, the smaller things like figuring out the draft date can be determined whenever. I just figured those big issues needed to get settled first and then we can turn the page and go to the next set of situations.

Definitely out on the 2QB thing. One-and-a-half maybe, but two is just way too many.
If you have your sights on Dez Bryant, you better take him in the second...'cause he ain't slipping past me in the third!

I'm about 95% sure that the 2QB rule will get phased out. If it does, we'll just have to decide what it is next for that slot, bench or whatever.
That's 2 for sure No's to 2QB

I'm okay either way on the 2QB issue.

My decision to come back is mostly dependent on draft/keeper dates, but ditching the 2 QB rule would probably increase my chances of sticking around for another season...
I guess I should send out invites in my league too - there might be a slot or 2 opening up for new peeps...

I'm lazy, not going to lie:
When does preseason start and how many weeks of it are there?

Thanks, UD. I'm not afraid to announce my laziness, it's not all the time though.
DANG! I didn't realize it was literally THAT soon, it's soon to me at least lol.
I would say the EARLIEST would be August 15th for a draft and no later than Sept 2nd.
Whatever we select, the keeper drop-date would be ....eh, maybe a week before that.

I'm just gonna throw this out here:
If we're going to move to one QB, I think we should reset all keepers or maybe only allow one keeper this year. How else do you make it fair to someone like Alby that has two elite QB's?

Fair point.
That's up to him, I suppose - I'd support either option in that case...
(just speaking for myself - draft/keeper date was my main beef last season...)

I certainly don't mind that, but considering the crap on my roster I might be a tad biased here.

That's a fair point, I didn't think about that. We'll just have to get his @$$ in here to comment on it, lol.
UD commented, what does everyone else think about the window for the draft I proposed?

I talked to alby tonight on FB and apparently he's not going to be in the mix. He's really really busy and he doesn't think he'll be able to fulfill a season-long commitment.

How is that going to work now that alby is out?
It looks like fluid.forty.one would fill in for his roster.

Since I'm a newcomer, don't make any changes strictly on my rosters behalf. Do whatever makes sense for the league.

I don't think it's necessary, unless you're a new person on board. You can just log on and you're good to go.

just throwing this out there - if someone bails, I'm totally down to join in. I've learned that I hate fantasy basketball but LOVE fantasy football. Had a great time in my league last year.
If you guys have any open spots let me know.

If Fluid is cool with having 2 keeper QB's in a 1 QB league, then it's settled, isn't it? (or does somebody else object to the changes?)
As long as we choose keepers at least a week before the draft and draft after the first week of the preseason, then I personally have zero objections in this league...

Well the matter, like jthig mentioned...does it still hold up to keep only one player per team or keep it 3 as planned? And if you feel like keeping 2 QBs, then more power to you.

One or three?
Well, I have Ray Rice and Randy Moss on my roster, so I'm obviously not voting for just one keeper (and Megtron is begging me to keep three!)
But I'll go with the majority regardless...
