buckner is worthless
should of picked up all big east 1st team mike gansey instead. the guy has guts and is fearless. we could use some firepower and fearlessness.
If we don't make a move to pick up some real players for once, i'm quitting being a fan. this is the last year cuban has to do something.

Well that's a nice attitude. If you quit being a fan over this, you aren't a true fan.

I, for one, advocate the acquisition of real players, and not fake ones. Like you, I, too will be quitting being a fan if the acquisition of Mike Gansey cannot be accomplished.
I mean just for once! C'mon!

I've been a fan for 5 years. Cubans lack of scouting is getting old.

Yeah, it's not like we did a good job of scouting Josh Howard
Plus, does Cubes even do the scouting?

Give buck time. Its like he said, this is a different mavs team than the one he left, not only the players but the system. I do kinda fear however that we will miss griff more than I thought

I'd much rather have griffin than buckner
except this has resulted in DH getting the start, so I guess it's not all bad

Hey Decks, stop being such a negative 5 year Mavs fan. You're better than that.

I think we will be glad we have Buckner come playoff time. He is much more of an offensive threat than Griff. If he can get his shooting stroke back the double teams on Dirk will be less frequent. I also think he is tireless on D and once he learns Avery's system a bit more he has the potential to be that quality lock down defender we need at the 2 spot. Although I thought Buck should be in the starting backcourt at the beginning of the season, Devin is making a believer out of me. I didn't think Devin could guard the bigger and more physical 1s and 2s, but he is soooo quick that I am compelled to rethink all of that.

No Buckner is an uber spare, sorry. D. George looked much better defensively last night. We need size at that position, Buck's size makes a difference defensively. George still hasn't really had a chance to be fully healthy yet.

Ok, first of all...Buckner is not worthless. By the end of they year I think he will have contributed more than Griff did last year.
Secondly, You cannot say George is worthless either. He is just now getting over being sick, he's played one game in a Maverick uniform.
Thirdly, if you are "tired" of Cuban's scouting (which he does none of, blame that on Donnie and AJ) then maybe you should quit being a fan, I'm tired of all the Dallas Fair-weather fans...it gets old

Griff made an impact almost immediately after they signed him last year. Remember Chicago couldn't believe it was Griffin who beat them right after he signed up to play for the Mavs? Griff was playing very well and making big plays for the team right off the bat. Buckner hasn't made a single play that stands out this season. I am still waiting for that big steal or big stop or something. He looks slow.

I don't know about Buckner, but the original poster was right about Gansey. We should have picked him up.

Yeah, quit being a fan, teach the Mavs a lesson. Don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out.

what kind of Mavs fan do we have here ??? Quitting, after we when to the NBA finals..I mean commooon! let' get real. Give em some time. After 20 games, you can assess..this team will have either a pretty good identity or a sloppy one..
you are only a fan if you be patient, otherwise when the Mavs hoist the championship banner, dont be present...

What a minute. Gansey signed with the Heat along with Chris Quinn. Quinn does not even play. Gansey is cut. I'm pretty sure he's is not playing in the D-league, either. I'm pretty sure he's available right now for any team that wants to sign him. But somehow, he's better than Buckner who is a 7-year veteran that led the nuggets in 3-pt field-goal percentage last year.
Is Gansey doing something I don't know about? Am I the only one to think this through or are others on the board just so stupified by the suggestion that they didn't say anything?
