Lakers-Suns Series Thread
Well, I don't know about anyone else, but I'm interested in this series (if for no other reason that it was pretty good last year).
Lakers are up 35-27 with 5:24 to play. Can they pull off the game 1 upset? They must be playing pretty good D so far to hold the Suns to 27 points in the first 19 minutes of action.

Didn't take long for the Suns to tie it up. 37-37 two and a half minutes later...

Suns are playing pretty poorly, but I'm not sure the Lakers are good enough to take advantage.
A better team would be destroying them right now.

Kobe is heating up from 3-point land.

KOBE BRYANT. Amazing
I'd love for him to single handedly dismantle the suns.

I don't know, the suns are the lesser of the 2 evils in my opinion.
i can't stand kobe and anything he does. He's an amazing player though. i actually have some respect for the suns game. I wish both teams could lose though lol.

I was about to say. He had 17 just a second ago with the game all knotted up at 37. That guy can fill it up at will practically. He might just be the greatest scorer in the history of the game (as much as I hate to say it).

The Suns look pretty bad at the moment. In the first quarter, they couldn't get a rebound to sae their lives. Lakers are +7 in rebounds at the half.

Suns look very uncharacteristic today. No inside-out play. Very few transition plays. Defensively, they look decent, but overall they are being outplayed by Lakers. Oh well, no love lost from me

It´s very hard to win for the Suns, if they don´t hit their 3´s: 3-13 for 23,1%

Maybe someone should go into the Suns' locker room and tell them that the playoffs have started.

It's probably time for Mr. 2-time MVP to "make his teammates better"

Nobody plays the Nash/Amare pick and roll like the Lakers.

I'm interested in this series as well, it's going to be a good one. Solid half so far for the Lakers, their D is looking pretty solid actually.

Very entertaining first half, Kobe couldn't have picked a better time to start lighting it up (and don't think he doesn't know that). Odom's been great as well, and Kwames not rebounding like he's hurt (granted they are playing Phoenix).

Yeah Odom's looked very good, and Kobe's on fire.

There is NO way that's a charge on Farmar.

Nash was very late getting to that spot.
Suns started the 3rd quarter looking pretty sharp. Not as much right now.

Yeah and it didn't look like there was much contact, it looked like Nash started falling before any contact was made.

Just turned on the game & Kobe has 31 - DAMN!!! Win or lose, I'm glad we don't have to play the Lakers in the 1st round - they'll wear you down...

The Suns already have a couple of them but Kobe is tearing them another one.

Suns and their fans sure are making a lot of noise for making no progress on the scoreboard. NO DEFENSE AT ALL.

This game does not look much like a playoff game. Neither team seems to be intent on making each possession count, and making their opponent work each time down the floor.

I wonder how many "scorching in the desert" references I'm going to have to endure when the "red hot" phoenix suns games are on.

Not me. As much as it pains me to say it, I would love to see the Lakers wipe the floor with the Suns.

You gotta love the Suns defense. They score 35 points in the 3rd quarter and they are still losing.
Man, I think Leandro Barbosa is pretty underrated. That guy makes a lot of plays, and can fill it up off the bench.

Lakers are missing Farmar; Smush is stinking it up out there.
