Official: 2009 NCAA March Madness Thread
Since the conference championships are starting ... I thought we should get a thread going on this.
Post brackets once they are made...
Any predictions on Cinderellas?
LETS GO HORNS.

I started a Yahoo pickem group. The info can be found by clicking here.
There are only 2 others besides myself in the group right now, which is odd for this group.

I had a party in my pants about three hours ago, that's for sure.
We shoulda beat UT the first game. With the way we've played the last two games, I'm not ruling out anything. Maybe we just took... the whole season to play the way we're supposed to.

Unless you had more points on the scoreboard at the end, and the NCAA errantly gave the win to Texas, then no, you shouldn't have beaten anyone.

PS I kept it clean!

Not surprised we lost...
Horns have been so inconsistent all year...and this would be the team to lose the first game in 25 tries..

Baylor showed a lot of heart today. The Horns will go as far as Damien James will take them, he needs to step up.

Couldn't watch the game, but good for Baylor. I hope they win the championship game. This run is very reminiscent of Georgia last year.

I am thinking of picking Butler over Caro. Anyone with me?
Also thinking of putting Clemson in the Sweet 16, with that weak draw they got.
Also thinking of Gonzaga in the Final Four.

I'm thinking College Basketball has fallen out of favor in my sports viewing pleasure. Work takes up too much time and I doubt I'll see a single game in it's entirety during the whole tournament. Oh well...

The only college basketball I watch all year long: a few minutes of the national championship game while flipping channels.
65 teams? How many on a roster? 10? 12? 15? So there are 600+ guys who can't hit an open jump shot...
Only 60 of them are getting drafted, and only about 20 of those are really going to pan out in the NBA. Even less with guys coming from europe and high school.
There isn't enough time in life to watch NE Idaho State A&M Tech shoot 27% from the field.

21-2 so far. Lost on BYU over A&M and VCU over UCLA. I had VCU winning in round 2 as well. That's really not so bad, though. I'm proud of my WKU over Illinois and Dayton over WVU.
Though I nearly pooped my pants with Pitt... they're my national champion!

For me...I don't have any major interest in the teams. If I'm rooting for the coach instead of the team, I'm definitely not THAT interested.

NC blew out MS at the same arena earlier in the season, looks like it's a rematch.

Am I delusional if I still think Texas is going to win this tournament?

Good point. I'll try to tone down the homerism a bit.

My girlfriend is something for sure...
She picked the Final Four correctly when the brackets came out and she had Michigan State vs UNC in the Finals. MSU winning.
She didn't even know what the numbers by the teams mean (the seeds).
