PGT: 2-1... Turnovers, Rebounds, and an illegal halftime halfcourt Chalmers 3
that's stupid.
EDIT: thread title should say "defense", not "rebounding"...
EDIT: thread title should say 1-2 so as to not give the illusion that we actually pulled our heads out of our asses and actually won this winnable game.

Apparently JET wants to add to his collection of shots that will haunt him for the rest of his life.

Crap. Dirk's mortal.
Just get used to him being the hero to save the day at the end, that it hasn't hit me that we just lost this thing.
And of all people to hit the gamewinner, we get done in by Chris Bosh.

Dirk's TO and missed shot (4.4 isn't much time but he had a good look) were bad timing. Still not his fault.

Honestly, yes I am a Dirk lover... but I don't put one damn thing on him this game.

Me either. Yeah his last two possessions didn't get it done, but he can't come through every single time. We've gotten a little spoiled here.
If someone outside of Dirk steps up offensively, we aren't even talking about a loss tonight.

I may have worded that wrong and I edited. The game wasn't Dirk fault.

You've got to have someone help out offensively. Anyone... I don't know that you can recover losing a game in which Dirk did that much in the 4th quarter. I suppose they'll lace them up and try again on tuesday.

Yeah, the lack of help for Dirk is really sad.

The Box tells a different story, but it feels like Dirk was on his own most of the game.

Mavs lost this game in the first quarter. Outscored em every quarter after that. Unfortunate, but gotta brush it off and get ready for the next one. Still a chance to be up 3-2 after this homestand.

dirk +12 in 42 minutes. -14 in the 6 minutes to rest....
no butler, no roddy, no haywood= absolutely no margin for error for mavs.
this stinks... a healthy butler and we'd prolly be up 3-0 by now.

Please lets not go back and bitch about the halftime three... It is what it is, but its not the difference in the game.
Tough loss, and I'm bummed right now... but I trust the Mavs to bounce back. LETS GO MAVS!!!

an illegal Chalmers 3 is the difference on the scoreline....
the tons of questionable calls we benefited from are embedded into our overall score as well...

Peja just passed Doug Christie as my most hated so called "mav" of all time.
Seriously, if the guy breaks his leg in practice tomorrow, I'd probably celebrate.

Sorry, but the refs excuse doesn't cut it this time. We got almost all the questionable calls. We could have won this. F*ck it. Must-win at Tuesday.

What game were YOU watching?? I agree the Mavs got 2 calls ... maybe 3 at the most ... but they DID NOT get "almost all the questionable calls". The Heat got 2 or 3 TIMES the questionable calls that the Mavs got. And that is not that of me being a Mavs homer. It just is the truth.

Early game cost us this.
Our bench was basically Terry (who was unclutch again) since we apparently cant count on Peja and JJ in this series. Mahinmi was just terrible.
Oh, and please no complains about the refs.

The refs were trying to give us this game. Jet and Peja and JJ just didn't want it.

this. im glad someone noticed. it was a tough game like they'll all be, miami finally did the smart thing of putting ud on dirk instead of bosh, if not the game would still be on. i hate when people blame refs! but i just cant help to contradict myself. mavs got all the calls. ive never seen so many loose ball fouls! ive never seen dirk get fouled but someone else took the freethrows. i really couldnt believe the traveling on james, the loose ball foul on ud, when he was in front!. that game was handed to you guys. idk how miami won it. im glad but, not too happy.

Jason Terry is not the only reason we lost but he is certainly one of them. He played well and then faded off in the second half and started chucking BS.

Not enough help from the other guys. Scoring-wise, Dirk cannot do it all by himself.
The defensive effort was there except for the first quarter and the start to the second half. We didn't stop there aggressive moves to the basket in the beginning.
Overall, a decent game with the wrong team winning.

I wish Dirk gets more aggressive earlier, not just at the end. Terry with 2 pretty dumb shots, both missed badly!
Barea a non-factor so far, same for Peja, if that does not change it´s tough...
And i think all people now see the that Haywood is better than Mahinmi, some guys here said earlier this Season that the Mavs should trade Haywood and roll with Chandler and Mahinmi until the end.

He didn't score very well, but his pick and roll play on the offense was very effective and he deserved to play for such a long stretch in the third.

R u serious? The Mavs have to go zone with him on the court which is killing them.

But it is still a risk. JJ just does not fit with the Heat.

If you want him to be gassed at the end then he can.. Dirk is playing it right. This team needs a balls out closer to win games.

We gotta get some offense outside of Dirk. We played great defense on the whole, but I would say no one other than Dirk did better than a C offensively. And that's probably being kind.
Peja is completely useless right now - this is a horrible matchup for him. Time for Carlisle to just throw in the towel and give Brewer a shot.
Our bench has slowly turned into this team's weakness after carrying us at times earlier. Having both Haywood and Butler would have been huge tonight.

Yes, that was the deal before we entered the playoff´s. Players ( Bench ) stepping up, while the Heat focusses on Dirk. But i did not see them for most of the time.
