Randle disrespects the Mavs defense very game
His highest scoring avg per game is probably vs Dallas

It was a goaltend and an obvious one
Refs have botched 10+ points worth of calls

Allowing 1 point in three minutes is stellar
Only scoring 2 on the other end is why it’s not single digits

Welp Knicks have now won 5 out the last 6 games vs the Mavs and in each game it just seems like the Mavs always come out sleep walking.

well after watching that last play by Barrett where he just jumped over both Powell and Bertans for that tip in you have a point there.
That bucket didn't count but it just shows how weak we are on the defensive glass if Luka isn't having a great rebounding night.
This is what scares me the most in the playoffs is that Dallas is doing to get pounded on the boards late in games because Powell and Kleber are both avg rebounders

Kleber with the offensive bord so we can miss two threes on one possession.

Let the Knicks have their one meaningful win of the year. This is like their championship when they play us.
We need a center. And man Bertans has been just plain bad. Not sure how we get out of that contract.

Yeah he can’t be on the floor for 30 damn minutes and not score a point.
Kleber smh... His offense is atrocious. His body language looks like he don’t even want to shoot it.

4 of the last 8 losses are knicks twice, Thunder and magic. Rather not let them have their win. Leaving a few wins on the table.
I believe Nico when they say they’re done roster building this season. Just like we were correct in begging for another creator, we are right to keep begging for a competent center.

Bertans is straight up garbage. The guy literally can’t shoot and provides no value being on this team. Bullock has also been a major disappointment. I believe he is down to 34% on 3s and he gets so many wide open shots playing with Luca so you would think his numbers would be better.

The refs were fvcking garbage. Period. Absolute trash.
That said, we came out flat. Got in a hole and couldn't put the ball into the hoop thingy.

This 100%
Refs were garbage but didn’t cost us the game. It’s still concerning that they’re insistently costing us 10+ points on missed fouls and missed goaltends, but those ten points weren’t the difference in the game
Mavs played poorly.
And Mavs have no rim protection. They got Dodo and Kleber out of position and Powell in foul trouble in the first half and we had no interior defense which they took advantage of. They packed the paint and waited for us to hit threes which we never did so they just kept packing it.
We can fix the paint packing by just having even an average shooting night. The interior defense is going to take a roster change via draft or trade.

It was a this point I turned the game off. It was just one of those nights that even really good teams have from time to time. Just off. Only hope it serves to light a fire under their asses. Mavs need to come out swinging against the Rockets and have a classic sit the starters type of second half. The East Coast road trip starting Sunday will be brutal if they play anywhere near this bad.
Side note, games like these make me seriously ponder giving $20+ million to Brunson. Don't get me wrong, everyone was atrocious. But yet another example of length and size bottling Brunson up. Dinwiddie is locked up for 2 more years. I say cut bait and try to move either/both of THJ and Bertans and go for a better cast around Luka. I really like Brunson's game, but it's built for the regular season and someone getting paid that much can't so easily be shut out of an offensive game plan, not to mention defensive liability against quicker and/or bigger guards.

I completely agree. I would move him vs. pay him (depending on the return of course).

The annoying part is that if you try bringing Brunson off the bench, then he is as good as gone this offseason. I think Dinwiddie should be starting.

Dinwiddie might should be starting actually. Brunson has earned it but he can't afford to have back to back games like this.
If he keeps collecting tough outings vs long teams throughthe rest of the season, I could see Kidd bringing him off the bench if we face a lengthy team in the POs.
