I would go back a couple of weeks so I could say goodbye to a dear friend that I won't have the opportunity to do so now.

Hang in there, LRB. It's tough losing a friend... but at least he's at a better place now.
Back in topic: I would go back to when I was 18 and do all the things I was too chicken to do.

I'd go back to the middle ages, form an army and arm them with heavy machine guns, jet fighters and tanks. Then I'd roll my army through Western Europe, build myself a palace, and staff it with hundreds of 18 year old virgins.

I would go back a few years and force my mom to get a checkup. Then her cancer could have been detected/treated and she'd still be here today. That's my biggest regret in life.

I'd like that too. I would tell him how much he meant to mebefore he passed on.

RE:If you had a time machine....
man, it's hard to narrow it down to one time period...
Choices I'd like to do over:
1) attend a different college
2) change my major
I guess i couldn't control other things..

I'd go back and beg the Mavs to not let Jason Kidd leave. Could you imagine if he was on our team now?

RE:If you had a time machine....
Some friends and I would go back to the predawn hours of 9/11/01, hang out at Logan, Newark, and Dulles airports, and do a little preemption on a particular group of 19 passengers before they board.
Do I get to keep this time machine? Cuz that's just chapter one....

I would go back to 1988 and have my brother accept an offer from Abilene Cooper's baseball coach to transfer to the school for sports purposes.

I'd go way back and have a sit down with JC and set the record strait. I'd visit a couple of other historic figures of that genre and set the record strait with them as well.

RE:If you had a time machine....
That's a pretty tough question. Like most people, I'd like to go back and spend more time with lost loved ones. On the other hand, if I could only go back ONCE, maybe the right thing to do would be to go back and prevent some disaster - like Pearl Harbor or 9/11 or the Kennedy assassination.

RE: If you had a time machine....
the question should be....would you really be a happier person, more contented, filled with joy?
I alway find man's question of changing the past amazing....if the past could be changed you would not be yourself(and even though many may think that a positive thought, it is our past that shapes us...)
there ary many things in my past that have greatly hurt me, and at the time i would have done anything to not go through that pain....but I am who I am becuase I've been where I've been, and I happen I am who I am for a reason that is bigger than my own individuality..there is purpose....*with that said*.......I'd knock off madape and steal all his chicks! ok, we've talked about the problem of evil, and the extent of the atonement's application, but my real question to you is, "Could Jesus dunk?"

RE:If you had a time machine....
Many, many past acts that I'd love to go back in time to stop and save the world from.
but the one that I'd do...go back about 10 months and stop Donnie and Cubes from making that damn Celtics trade.

I used to think the same way about how my past shaped me and stuff. You'll outgrow it.
As for all of madape chics, I've heard that only the bravest of souls will attempt to enter that coop and steal anything! Good luck to ya!

That's pretty deep, Sike!
I would just go back to my first encounter with the opposite sex and be less of a shy boy. After that encounter went wrong, it took me five more years to get laid.

I'd go back in time and stop myself from turning into a Walker-lapdog.
I'm sure all of you(especially Drbio would want that as well)....
