Hornets' Davis Replaces Carter on East Roster

NEW YORK, Feb. 7 -- Charlotte Hornets guard Baron Davis has been named by NBA Commissioner David Stern to replace injured East All-Star forward Vince Carter (aggravated left quadriceps tendon) of the Toronto Raptors on the Eastern Conference roster for the 2002 NBA All-Star Game.
Davis, in his third NBA season, is making the first All-Star appearance of his career. East All-Star head coach Byron Scott will determine which player will replace Carter in the starting lineup.

The 2002 NBA All-Star Game will be played Sunday, Feb. 10, at First Union Center in Philadelphia. The game will be broadcast in 210 countries in 41 different languages and also on NBC, CTV in Canada, ESPN Radio and audio on NBA.com.
