Here is a list of big men being shopped at the trade deadline, who would you like and what do you think it would take to get them. Also please add to the list if I have forgotten anybody. Of course this is largely speculation.

Raef LaFrentz
Min....FG%.....Ft%.......Rb..........Bl........Ppg
32.6...46.7...66.3......7.4.........2.96......14.8

Positives: nice range, shooting over 40% from three, a very good shot blocker.
Negatives: Probably not the rebounder we need, at least not yet, he is young
Cost: Expensive. It would take some nice players to land him.

Marc Jackson
Min....FG%......Ft%......Rb.......Bl.......Ppg
9.9....33.8....83.3.....2.5......18........4.8

Positives: Potential, was a pretty good rebounder last year.
Negatives: Having an awful season. He and management are not seeing eye to eye.
Cost: Fairly Inexpensive. Cheaper than he has ever been

Danny Fortson
Min....Fg%......Ft%......Rb.......Bl........ppg
29.8 .417....794......4.3/12.4..18........11.8

Positives: One of the best rebounders in the league.
Negatives: Again there have been management issues in GS. Does not block shots
Cost: Expensive, I would imagine players of similar value to LaFrentz

Vin Baker
Min.....Fg%....Ft%....Rb......Bl.....Ppg
34.....49.3...62.5....6.8.....7......16.6

Positives: Pretty good scorer for a big man.
Negatives: Not the rebounder we need, weight has been an issue
Cost: Fairly Expensive. Seattle has been wanting to move him for some time, but they ar not willing to give him away. Don't think he is what the Mavs need.

Marcus Camby
Min.....Fg%.....Ft%.....Rb.....Bl.....Ppg
34.2...44.8...62.6....11.1....1.72....11.1

Positives: Good Rebounder, Good shot blocker. Will score his 10 a game, but does not demand the ball offensively. A quick enough big man to play within the Mavs system
Negatives: He is a China Doll, and has a big contract
Cost: Fairly Expensive. Would have to give a nice package in return.

Karl Malone
Min.....Fg%.....Ft%......rb.....bl.....Ppg
38.6....45.8....79.1.....8.9....78.....23.9

Positives: Hall of Famer, still has it at 38. Pretty good rebounder, and can score points.
Negatives: Though he appears fit one wonders when that body will start breaking down
Cost: Very Expensive. I think the Jazz would like to move him if they could. They would not take Howard for him. It would require Finley, and some young guys. Any team who could offer some young guys and draft picks I think would have the best shot to land him.

Jahidi White
Min.....Fg%....Ft%.....rb.....dl.....ppg
20......56.7...55.6....6.7....87.....6.2

*****Rumor heard on bskball.news, probably the least substantiated of all possibilities posted.

Positives: Good rebounder, huge body
Negatives: Shot range is to about 4 feet.
Cost: Fairly Inexpensive if the Wiz really want to move him. I feel like he is an overlooked guy at the deadline if he is really available.

Olden Polynice
Min.....Fg%.....Ft%.....rb......bl......ppg 2000-20001 Season
20......49.6....26.2...4.7.....95......5.3

****From article in Fort Worth Star Telegram
Positives: Good rebounder. Adds to our police force at no additional charge, just don't cut him off.
Negatives: He is probably washed up.
Cost: Very Inexpensive. He is a free agent so the Vet minimum would do.

Arvydas Sabonis
Min.....Fg%.....Ft%......rb......bl.....ppg 2000-2001 Season
21.3...47.9....77.6......5.4......1.0...10.1

Positives: Nice all around player. Good shooting range for a big guy. huge body
Negative: He is old, and likely not in basketball shape.
Cost: Very Inexpensive. Free agent.

threadkilla reminded me of a couple more:

Antonio McDyess
Min.....Fg%.......Ft%.....rb.....bl......ppg...200 0-2001 season
36.5....49.5......70.0...12.1....1.46....20.8

Positives: Super player. He would fit into what the Mavs do very well. Great rebounder, good shot blocker, pretty good shooter.
Negatives: He has been hurt all year
Cost: Very Expensive. In spite of his health, he had put of some nice numbers for about three year. Probably take Finley to do it.

Rasheed Wallace
Min....FG%......Ft%.....rb.......bl.....ppg
37.7....46.0...74.1.....8.2......1.25...19.2

Positives: Good player, nice defender, good range on his shot for a big man. very athletic
Negative: Attitutde, what would he do to a team's chemistry
Cost: Very Expensive. As frustrated as the blazers are with Wallace they know what they are holding. It would take Finley to make that happen, maybe more.

Theo Ratliffe
Min.....Fg%.....Ft%.....rb......bl.......ppg 2000-2001 Season
36.....49.9....76.0...8.3......3.74......12.4
Positives: Great shot blocker, good shooting percentage, decent set shot.
Negatives: Hurt, He has only played 3 games all season
Cost: Expensive. The Hawks seem to want to hold him, and build there team around him. Still a nice package could induce them to move him. would not take a Finley.
