Default Inside-Out

Mavs need to get used to scoring inside first and then their outside game will be much easier. This team is too reliant on their jump shots (yes even those who do not possess one) so whenever they miss one or two it really messes up all the flow to their offensive game.

They need to get inside...a bunch of dunks and layups would be awesome, just to get them going. Finley, Dirk, and Nash must be the ones to get inside and score. Once these guys get some consistent flow offensively it makes everyone else's game better.

I'm sure it's not going to be easy to score inside because the Kings will want to stop the Big 3 but we're talking about the Kings who have no real shot blockers and old big men. I think scoring inside initially from the Big 3 can be done.

We can not worry about the rookies and Walker and others to feel good about themselves offensively. They need to make their open shots and layups regardless of the number of touches. Getting the Big 3 more dangerous has got to be key.

Obviously the 3 point shot has been lacking this year and it could be in all their heads but they can't stop shooting them they just need to shoot less of them. Even the free throws may also be in their heads now after it literally cost the Game 4.....so the best remedy for this is to go inside and get some easy shots and free throws.....we don't want the first free throw to come at the end of a close game.

Being on the road is already a psychological disadvantage and more so for the Mavs this year. Going inside and scoring easy buckets will boost team confidence and morale while destroying the Kings'. Also getting fouls on the Kings will add to those effects.

It may be a myth but it seems the bad shooting is contagious so the best type of shots to go in are closer to the bucket and hopefully the opposite is true too-making shots becoming contagious.....if Jamison is not fully healthy the either Najera or Walker must step up and score inside....
