Default Info from Hawks' fan re: Philly pick

Just thought you guys deserved some info on the Philly pick from the Hawks' perspective...This information comes from Jason Walker, RealGM's correspondent for the Hawks:

Philly next non-lotto first rounder is now New Jersey's, courtesy of the Kenyon Martin deal, so the earliest we can get that Philly pick is now 2007.

However....

IF Philly doesn't pass that pick next year (like they didn't this year), then it rolls to 2006, which means the earliest we could get that pick would then be 2008.

AND....

Gone are the days that picks just rolled on forever, in fact, I believe the expiration date on those picks is now 5 years. If a pick is not forwarded within said time frame, the pick dissolves into a million dollars.

It's possible that New Jersey may not get that pick by 2007, and if they don't, we are out of time and out of that pick.

Therefore, use that pick as a sweetner in a deal before it becomes to easy to see that puff in the distance that used to be that pick.
You guys are welcome over at Hawksquawk.net to discuss if interested...
