Default Damon Jones signs with the Heat

Heat sign the veteran point guard they needed in Damon Jones, he was the best point guard left on the market, averaged 5.8 assists last season on only 24.6 mpg and was 2nd in the league in assists per turnover, and 4th in assists per 48.

I would expect him to continue getting at least 24 mpg for the Heat. Which leaves Wade playing both guard positions throughout the game. From watching Wade play on the USA team it looks like hes certainly a willing passer, Larry Brown said they have to act as a team and have guys take on different roles, and Wade is certainly doing that, hes moving the ball and creating off penetration, only trying to score on layups and most of the time just penetrating so he can pass it off to the big man (Which is scary seeing him do it so well with Stoudemire and Duncan, when hes about to get Shaq in the regular season). Regardless, Wade is still turnover prone but his court vision is looking good in these games, he'll play some point but some shooting guard too.

This doesn't leave much time for Dooling, unless they find some way to trade Eddie Jones.

The Heats backcourt is now very deep with Wade, Jones, Jones, Dooling. I would say there not too horrible at the 4 with Udonis Haslem (i love this kid) and Malik Allen, if they get Karl Malone they become set there. The 3 is their hole, they have Rasual Butler and their HS draft pick Dorrell Wright. The HS guy scored like 31 in a summer league game or something, but hes still a high school guy...i don't know what to make of Rasual yet.

Heat are starting to look real good...Shaq is starting to lure some good pieces. Can be bring Malone? If so, the best two teams in the league might just be in the East.
