Default Kidds status - the expected delays begin

In discussing Kidd to the Mavs, I was told that hs injury was going to heal quickly and I argued otherwise.

Here is part of what I was being told....

"HOWEVER - The prognosis for a non weight bearing injury is much better.

"While microfracture surgeries typically take a long time to come back from, Kidd's procedure was performed on a non-weight-bearing area. By nature of where the surgery was performed, the recovery would be much quicker than a normal microfracture surgery. A three-month recovery is not unreasonable I don't know the details of the Kidd situation but I would assume the surgery occured near the the patella - a non-weight bearing bone (unlike the chondyle or tibia). Kidd would be locked in a certain position in a brace but he would not have to be on crutches for weeks & weeks. "

I argued that this would be more likely to linger on and on, like Webber last year. Remember how Webber was supposed to be back in Oct, then Nov, then Dec and on and on?

At the time, Kidd was supposed to be ready by early Oct (3 months) they said. (I didnt buy it.)

Here is the news from NJ now ...

NY DAILY POST "Multiple sources have stated that Kidd, rehabbing from left knee surgery, is not expected back until December" http://www.nypost.com/sports/nets/29756.htm

This is merely the CURRENT hope. When Dec gets here, then will it turn into Jan, Mar, Apr etc?

I will say it again. We do not want Kidd. He is damaged goods.
