I still would love to see it get done just so it reassures me that the Knicks are failures and will continue to fail.

That's 27 points on 25 shot attempts for Anthony.
Amar'e had 19 points on 13 shot attempts, fouled out, and got T'd up, putting him one away from suspension, I believe. Coincidence? Probably. He's been surly all season, but I bet his mood will improve if Anthony keeps taking 2x as many shots.

And more importantly, the billups watch - 21 points, 8 assists. Not bad for the first game in Dantoni's system. We'll see if he keeps it up.

Yea its amazing how much attention Melo is getting but everyone forgets they got Billups who can start on the majority of teams in this league. If I were a Knick fan i'd be just as equally excited about getting Billups. I think he's of the same caliber as Melo at this point in his career.

let's tap those breaks a little bit.
i wouldn't say they are the same caliber. But i would maybe stretch it to say they could be close to equally as valuable for the knicks in the next few seasons.

They will sell a lot of tickets and TV commercials. That is what this trade is about.

the spin has started already. Sunday night they gave an inordinate amount of time to the Knicks victory over the Heat to the exclusion of any other NBA scores on ESPN sportscenter. In the drop down headlines that they use they gave 5 to the knicks and another at a different time in the show to cover the game itself. They treated it like a conference of NBA champianship game. None of the other scores except for the LA was even mentioned.

Not to mention we've beaten them TWICE and still don't get an inkling of coverage. I hope the Mavs take this lack of respect personally and kick some a** in the playoffs!
