Some players take time to develope. Carlisle did not play him. Same thing will happen with Roddy. Instead of developing him in a down year he wasted 30 minutes a game on Mike James.

Jesus...brewer was with the Mavs 13...13!!!! Regular season games and Carlisle started him in two of those. Somehow he was keeping him back. Man..there is some dumb stuff posted on message boards.
And in that year Carlisle won it all. I sure wish he had concentrated on developing brewer instead. Sheesh..

How does that reflect on Carlisle? He now has to do the gm job or he's not developing players?

Brewer was sacrificed for the fa pipe dream. It was a mistake. It has nothing to do with Carlisle. Carlisle played him plenty, in important moments.

Those guys were not traded. They all left as f/a. They got better offers. Brewer and Fernandez were traded for nothing. Head coach is in on trades.

Sheesh...such selective opinions. So Carlisle is not responsible for letting those guys leave in free agency when the plan was to get rid of them all, but he is for brewer because it "proves" your point about how he's crap on developing players. Even though he started him in 2/13 games when he showed up.
But because brewer was also let go for cap room, just like Tyson, etc. it's on Carlisle. When it proves your point it's on Carlisle, but when it doesn't he's not involved.
Carlisle is involved, but he doesn't veto moves when it comes to the dollars. This was an agreed upon plan by the mbt including Carlisle...it has nothing to do with developing or not developing players.

He started Brewer only due to injuries and benched him after he saved his ass in the playoffs. Rick is a good coach but he has handled unproven players badly. If you aren't proven when you come here Rick won't do much to develope you. Just keep your eyes on Roddy after he leaves. It will be another Brewer situation.

Knicks don't seem to be cohesive enough to take Miami for sure. Jkiddo was directing traffic all fourth quarter and they were still pretty knuckle headed offensively. Way too little ball movement IMO.
But damn, I miss that jkiddo.

Donnie needs to be shipped out if he can't get it done this offseason. Dirk has been covering up his horrible drafting, inability to resign free agents, and just letting too many talented guys just walk for nothing.

You don't know the amount of time he spent with Brewer before and after practice.
I guess you don't know the amount of time he spent with Ian, either.
Too bad Jae Crowder didn't see a lot of time on the floor this year....
Roddy performing on another team isn't going to be an indictment on the feet of Carlisle, but good try.

Good performance by players is always due to RC. Being benched is the players fault. I see how it works.

Brewer has had a nice season, but some of you are going way overboard on the kid. He is a sub par rebounder and can't hit jump shots or shoot the three really. Love his energy and defense but c'mon meow.

Shipping out Brewer that way was a mistake. Of course, he's nowhere near the best player the Mavs shipped out (or didn't bring back), but his value and upside per dollar was really high.
But to say that had anything to do with RC is quite odd. RC handled Brewer fine.

I was just more upset how easily we let him go. I understand everything surrounding the situation. RC had nothing to do with it and did fine in managing him the brief period he was here

Dennis Schröder with 18 points (5-10 FG, 7-10FT), 2 rebounds and 6 assists in the World Team's win over Team USA.

And yet he's still nothing special, as a basketball player. It's not like we gave away a star, letting go Brewer would matter if we would have a championship level roster, which we don't, in fact we aren't very close to it, and not because we don't have a player like Corey.

Who is he going to assist? Other than Ellis, no one else can really play.

Sanders can score in close just fine if he's set up, and Dunleavy, Ilyasova and Redick are all excellent shooters. He's not short of finishers. On the flip side, those guys aren't used to having defenses close out on them the way a focused Miami squad can. Nonetheless, the Jennings that's worth pining as a high-dollar RFA is one who can do more than he did yesterday to create opportunities for his teammates.

When I wrote that, it was halftime 18 pts on 50% shooting. And he had just singlehandedly kept the Bucks alive (at the time). I didnt watch the second half, but im assuming he didnt keep it up based on final score.

Throw the book at Gortat, and I still like Ellis/Jarret Jack. Go from there.

“The Heat will be definitely an option,’’ Dalembert told FOX Sports Florida before his Bucks lost to the Heat 110-87 in Game 1 of an Eastern Conference first-round series Sunday night at AmericanAirlines Arena. “It’s up to them and seeing what’s going to be out there. But at this point you want to be with a contending team. You don’t want to go backwards, so you want to chase that promised land.’

Dalembert has the role for the Mavs with his ability to defend the paint and rebound. But his knuckleheadedness would be a huge detriment to the team. I would rather the Mavs pass on him.

Is it a surprise that he told a Florida network interviewer that the Heat are an option?
