@AlexKennedyNBA: The Pistons, Wizards, Bulls, Lakers and Mavericks are among the teams interested in restricted free agent Moe Harkless, per sources.

"Marc Stein ESPN Senior Writer
ESPN sources say that Dallas is scheduled to commence meeting with Hassan Whiteside in New York soon after free agency begins at 12:01 a.m."
"Marc Stein ESPN Senior Writer
The Mavs, sources say, will then return to Dallas for its separate meetings on home turf later Friday with Mike Conley and Nicolas Batum"
Damn, I'm excited right now. The Mavs must be pretty confident about signing Whiteside if they're already looking forward to Conley and Batum.

Getting two of Hassan/Conley/Batum on max deals will be the greatest offseason ever.
Just look at what Mozgov or Bazemore demanding...

I'm sure the Mavs are going to try to find a way to make it work to get all three.

Remember cap goes up lot more next season. I think Conley would have a much faster center than Gasol to work with. Though he's never played alongside a Batum and Dirk of course.

Not happening... $74m for all three, $32m already on the books, $92m cap.

Well obviously you would have trade somebody to free up some cap.
Otherwise what are we looking at? Anderson as our starting 3, Deron or even Felton at point?

Even if you unloaded Wes for nothing, that's only $3m to fill out the roster.

So... yes then? That's what we're looking at? Anderson starting at 3 is one thing, but do we have no plan B if we don't land Conley?

I'm sure there's a plan B, but the Mavs won't let me into their war room, so.... :/

If we have to go into the season with Felton as our starting point, that's going to kill any excitement I would have over landing Whiteside.

Whiteside meeting with Miami tomorrow, so I doubt we'll hear anything until after then.

Mavs one of five early suitors for Matthew Dellavedova. Posed this question on twitter:
4yrs/$50M for Delly or 3yrs/$40M for Deron?

Dellavadova is great for a rebuilding situation. Right?
I'd go Clarkson/Biyombo at this point...

I think we look at offering Howard max before chasing Biyombo, who is less-worthy of max.

I'm all in on Wade and whatever's left on Deron/big men.
Screw Miami and give Dirk have a legit All-Star for his last two years.

Wade isn't leaving Miami, only mentioned Dallas and SA as leverage... He's actually talking to the Bucks, of all teams, about a max contract. No meeting scheduled with the Mavs so far.

Also, Wade is done as an impact player. His efficiency in the last two years has been putrid, on low usage and minutes, I add... It would be a nice troll move I guess, but from a basketball standpoint, it wouldn't make any sense at this point. You might as well max out Barnes before doing that.

F it. Max Howard
BUT.... I would just use the same old video they rolled out for him a few years ago to try and lure him

I'll take option C, neither. I'd honestly rather max out Biyombo and Barnes, at least they are young.

Wouldn't his max start at 31 million? I think he wants a contract around 24, so no need to max him out. At least that's what I've read.

For what it's worth. Biyombo is still incredibly young. And could we afford both him and Conley? Also I heard Ryan Anderson being mentioned on the fan in Dallas. I'd so be up for Anderson starting at PF while having Dirk be our 6th man.
Conley or Deron
Wes
SF
Ryan Anderson
Biyombo
Dirk as 6th man

It seems to me the Mavs can still salvage next season by signing Howard, re-up Deron, and then go after someone like Bazemore, Afflalo, or Stephenson. I think that Afflalo and Stephenson both feel they have something to prove and would be highly motivated to work their butts off. If you consider their late season push with Anderson, Barea, and Mejri it seems to me that Mavs could still compete.

So best case scenario right now is Dwight? Kinda reminds me of that year we got Monta as virtually the last "prize" that was still available.

Biyombo is 24 next month and you cant trust the age of african players.
There are also serious suspicions that Ibaka is allready 30+ and thats why he is declining...

Lol you have to stop being so delusional. No one wants to come to Dallas. There is 0% chance Conley comes here.
