Wait why does Woj say 2029 pick while the rest say 2027?
It is 2029 I could have sworn I read 2027, I'm getting old I guess.

I just thought it was a strange thing to mention. His best buddy KD couldn?t do anything with him, but we got a dude that he played a game with in high school to help stabilize him.

Make more moves. Bullock/THj and a pick if needed to get them gone. Luka/wood/uncle drew / green /hardy are good core. Need an athletic defensive center and better sf/wing shooter. I?m

This looks more like desperation than balls. Maybe they have other things working, though, and maybe they are planning on using this as a reset button. I just don?t know how you can trust this dude. My worst fear is that they go to the conference finals with Kyrie playing and acting great, and they re-sign him. Then Kyrie becomes Kyrie again.

It's not 2027 frp. It's 2029.

Hell, There's a good chance we make a deep run and he just bails anyway. Expect anything.

K, I'll take the deep playoff run.
I'll take a FO that swings for the fences all day, every day.
If being "likable" doesn't win you rings, then I'll take the other. Not saying we win it all with Irving, but this persona of the Mavs being "likable" has hopefully changed.
I'll take someone like Draymond Green all day long on my team.
You know who isn't likable that will spit in your face and smile about it? The Eagles. Guess how their season is going...

It's also being reported that the Clippers and Lakers had strong offers and we beat them. That is a huge win alone.

Stein sub stack said Dallas tried to give nets THJ and Wood and they weren?t biting.
Unfortunately I don?t think Cuban has any interest in having Wood.

Bobby Marks: Some more trade notes: ⭐️Dorian Finney-Smith has a 15% trade bonus that is valued at $1.6M. Dallas is responsible for the bonus. His cap hit this season is $12.9M ($1.6M divided by 3). ⭐️Spencer Dinwiddie earned a $1.5M games played bonus. The Mavericks are responsible for the bonus. ? via Twitter BobbyMarks42

How about Bojan and Noel for THJ and Powell?

Shams report, Suns fans on twitter are butthurt that Nets did it for only one first rounder vs. their poopoo platter for 3 first rounders.

Yeah but everything in the NBA is fluid. We are now in a much better position keeping Wood this summer with Luka and Kyrie on board (provided Kyrie stays).

I mean the time is now to be desperate?..Lukas future with the team is dependent on it. Nico and Cuban know that. If it doesn?t work oh well. They weren?t winning anything so the Dinwiddie anyway.

A Luka/Kyrie duo is not going to work.
Not sure what Nico and Kidd are trying to do.
I hope like hell I'm wrong but I just don't see this working at all.

That?s disappointing they tried to give away Wood over Dinwiddie. Just trade him now before he leaves and we get nothing?.

Exactly, and I don't see how anyone would think it would be different.

Why didn?t they take that approach with AD? Just wait for him to hit free agency?

That might be the best scenario, if they can sign a star with the space.

Maybe because Chris Paul is about to be 38 and only averaging 13.8 ppg which signals the end is near, and Jae Crowder is not a "winning vet"
And Russ being a former MVP is semantics. Why not boast about Jason Kidd's former accolades too or Steve Nash since we're doing history.

Luka being run into the ground also wasn't working. Guy just got a bruised heel which is dangerously close to achilles. That's red alert for help now.
And Luka and Brunson worked just fine. Kyrie is a taller, more well rounded version of Brunson.
Underrated stat of Kyrie...averages 5 rebounds a game.

Yea. Unless the outside perspective is, why would I go sign there when:
Brunson left
Wood left
Kyrie left

Which is another of many reasons they need to avoid that and either extend Wood or trade him by Thursday!

Well Luka could have done that regardless of any overuse etc. That's a risk of being aggressive at times. Anyone could take a tough spill.
But yea. Kyrie is also a way better defender than Brunson (who fn sucked.) He's a solid defender.

Kyrie is a more consistent and more efficient Brunson and this board has been nothing but whining about Brunson leaving.
Not sure how you can think Brunson is a fit and Kyrie isn?t.
Btw, Luka gave his thumbs up for this trade

Brunson and Kyrie are two completely different individuals.
Brunson was the ideal sidekick for Luka, Kyrie is a different animal.
We'll see how the two alphas bond, but I don't see it turning out well.

I guess I had some hope that they wouldn?t have to gamble so hard. It may work out, but I?m not on board with the ?oh well? sentiment.
