Cuban is showing text messages to Mavs media to prove himself in the Brunson circus.
Embarrassing clown. Why would any agent or free agent want to sign with Cuban and the Mavs.

Hardy is the only thing worth watching
Wood thinks he's a bullfighter and not an NBA defender and then he barks at Hardy when it was his terrible position that led to the dunk

He walked it off but he acts like every bump is a career-ender
Knee-to-knee hit contact and he cringed hard and went down

44 point quarter for the Kings. I?m sure half were on layups. Anytime they do get a stop, it?s almost a sure offensive rebound.

Luka 1-6 from 3. I was listening on the drive home? Not sure why he consistently settles for 3?s when he can basically get anywhere he wants when he drives the ball.

If okc wins next game it?s over right. Let?s hope they win - they play tomorrow so helps us. But Mavs so dumb they probably still try win for no reason.

Pick is over. Tied for 11/12 with Bulls. Bulls are resting friday vs Mavs, then end with spurs. So 12/13 seed.

Not true
OkC needs to win both their games to assure that Dallas doesn't pass them
They can still finish 39-43 if they lose either one of their final two games
Hopefully Utah or Memphis beats them and the mavs win vs Bulls and Spurs

Good to see the team and players step up and play with some pride
I literally hate the idea of teams losing on purpose
I'm glad kyrie has continued to play hard despite all the negative shit.
I'm glad Powell has had his minutes drastically reduced
Hopefully mavs can get these last two games and shock everyone and get to the playoffs
I really don't want to watch the NBA playoffs if the mavs aren't playing
Fuck the draft pick they can retool via FA

When have we ever been able to attract anyone worth a damn in free agency? I hate rooting for this team to lose, as I want to see Luka in the playoffs, but the best way for this roster to improve is to have their draft pick. I imagine Cuban would try and trade the pick for a ?win now? type player though.

I agree they haven't done well in Free agency
But I don't think they need household names because they already have Luka and kyrie
I think they can attract 1 or 2 quality rotatio type players who won break the bank and help balance the roster defensively
I also wouldn't trust Cuban even if they did land the 10th pick so that's why I prefer the FA route or trades this summer to rebuild the roster
Luka is in win now mode and chances are the draft pick wouldn't contribute right away

Fvck. I love to win. The idea of the team tanking was never going to happen. Not with this roster and any hope they have of keeping Kyrie around...or keeping Luka happy.
I'm assuming the majority of us that are ok with tanking out to keep the pick is mostly because its so damn dire when the outcome is reliant on other teams losing. It's very situational. If you control your own destiny, then sure go for it. That's where we were with about 10 games left. There's also the fact that we have huge flaws that DEFEND our chances at REBOUNDING this season as contenders.
I'm on the books for:
No man's land - No pick no play in
2-7 at the 9 game mark
Spurs of all teams knocking us out of the play in.
Hopefully at least 2 of those predictions are wrong.

Come on man even with all the shitty play this year by Dallas you still have to wish for them to make it into the play in tournament as a die hard and then who knows what might happen if Luka and Kyrie get hot and play their best basketball
I might be in the minority but I'm going root like hell for OKC to lose 1 or 2 more games.
Let's go Utah and Memphis lol

You arent in the minority anymore!
Anything can happen for a few games or MAYBE a series perhaps but there is absolutely zero chance we are true contenders even if Luka and Kyrie are both in Ludacris mode.
But yea, its on 100% now, we have to win out and hope OKC collapses under the pressure. There's nothing else to root for.

he's basically Kyrie so we'd still have DFS, Spence and the unprotected 2029 pick
Not sure we'd be significantly better this season, but we'd at least have our future picks and lockerroom guys.
But who knows, maybe the defense collapsed from lack of accountability and that started with Luka failing his assignments and he failed his assignments because he was working too hard on offense so maybe having Brunson could have been the difference between a top seed and...this.

That's called denial.
Giving the Knicks the 11th-12th pick this year when we had the 10th or higher in the bag would be a colossal failure on par with everything else this dumb shit team does.

Huge difference between this game and the Atlanta game down the stretch
One Luka didn't stop Kyrie from scoring. What I mean by that is kyrie was killing it on Atlanta but the mavs didn't go to him down the stretch consistently doing that game.
Luka actually let kyrie shoot the technical FT which was huge because had anyone else shot that ft it most likely would have been a miss and the lead would have been 3 points as opposed to 4 points on that final Sacramento possession after Luka made that dumb late game foul.
Kyrie seems to have more stamina than Luka and driving to the basket is a priority to him in 4th qtrs. I think when he's cooking like that Luka just needs to committ more to playing off ball or go into the post more where he's almost automatic vs smaller guys but for some reason the mavs simply won't use Luka on the blocks. He's just as good as any of the top bigs at scoring download but it's a weapon the mavs sparingly use on offense
Luka could be the inside scoring threat this team needs especially with kyrie here to handle the ball now in close games instead of jacking up 3's all the time

Depends on how you view it
They can now also trade 25 & 27 1st round picks If needed to complete a trade for another high level player
Which they wouldn't have been able to do had they retained their pick this year
With Luka you need to be in wide now and chances are the draft pick wasn't going to be a guy who contributed to that right away

Mavs are in win now this season and theyre an 11 seed. At best play in and no playoff series. Mavs can keep the pick and still be in win now.
Always trading away draft picks is a fool proof way this team will never be sustainably good. especially when you have an owner who lives off free agency guys but never wants to pay them market value.
Would be great to get rim protection or wing defender in the draft. there are top 10 guys that could contribute next season.

Can the pick be made for a team and traded for future picks, 2023 draft or out?
Not sure with our 2024 pick then moving to NYK more than likely, or limited with the conveyance.
