has anyone seen the numbers juan gonzalez has put up this year?
if he keeps up to this pace, this will be the 3rd time he's had more RBI's than games played
freaking amazing.
what's even bigger, he has a shot at the triple crown, he's 3 down in homeruns, 8-9 points down in average, and 1 down in rbi's.
and in the field, he's playing great defense with at .993 fielding percentage, with 7 outfield assists already and only 1 error.

Oh, I know that. It's just that history says that most players have there best(or one of there best) years when it's a contract year. Look at Bret Boone this year. He's not nearly as good as his stats this year are. He'll get a huge pay check this coming offseason, and then return to his usual self next year.

hahaha...it wasn't really Wood's fault. He left with the tie, but the usually unhitable cub bullpen gave up 3 runs in the bottom of the 7th. But Wood, by no means, had his best stuff giving up 6 runs in as many innings.

6 runs in 6 innings is alot for a fantasy team. Then you add 3 more runs to the pullpen. And I got screwed .

So if two guys run home after Gonzalez smacks the ball, then he gets 2 rbi's from that?

Now if there were 3 men on base and he hit a triple, how many RBI's would he get?

well...i'm not sure if you're still getting it dj...
if two guys score (including juan) on a homerun, then it's 2 rbi's..
but, if two guys are on base when he hits the homerun, it's 3 rbi's
get it?
can you calculate slugging percentage dj?

I'm a freakin idiot when it comes to math and sciences Just spent the last 30mins figuring out how to calculate a person's VO2 max. Ugh. My parents must be so proud (one's a doc, the other was a biochemist).

Uh...Sosa goes 0-3 with an intentional walk(in which he leads the majors) and got robbed by the wind in right field, but he Cubs still win 2-1 and remain 3 games ahead of Houston in the Central.

Now see, that's the problem I have with Sosa and why I say he's overrated. They put Sosa on there based on a 2 year homerun tear. Sosa never in his career hit more then 30 home runs in a season until him and Big Mac went balistic a few years ago. Hit 50-60 homeruns a year 5, 6 , 7 years in a row and then I'll put you up there as one of the greatest of all time.

Rob...if you don't have the facts straight, you end up sounding like an idiot.
<< They put Sosa on there based on a 2 year homerun tear. Sosa never in his career hit more then 30 home runs in a season until him and Big Mac went balistic a few years ago. >>
Year..HR
1993..33
1994..25
1995..36
1996..40
1997..36
1998..66
1999..63
2000..50
2001..33
(And a couple of those years were cut short due to strike and injury)

As much as I hate Griffey, you're right he probably will. However A-Rod will surpass Griffey!!!!
