Do we have a lite version of the forums?
That is all. Just something I can load on my PSP when I just wanna read and I don't wanna turn on my computer.

That'd be nice.. I've just about worn out my rollerball on my blackberry when I'm bored at work reading the forums.

Ya, I've seen this natively supported in other forums, but sometimes I can be pretty blind and miss out on it, so that's why I'm asking. I can disable images and all, but the rep, for example, takes up more space than the actual pics (seeing bernardos70 has a brilliant future 12 times over on the screen is quite a screen real estate hog).

If you click on "Thread Tools" and "Show printable version" it gives a very "lite" page with no images, but you'd have to do it every time you loaded a new thread. There is no way that I know of to navigate the forum itself like that.

Yeah my internet on my cpu didn't work for a while so i was forced to use browse D-M through my blackberry, and boy was that frustrating. But when i went to spurstalk is was very easy to navigate that website, it had a mobile portal thats why. Maybe we should add something like that.

Hmm I wonder how hard that is.
I've never been to spurstalk, what kind of board software do they use?

The mobile thing is pretty cool on Spurstalk (I go by the moniker of u2sarajevo over there, shocker I know). I think it's a hack for vbulletin, but I could be mistaken.
I will certainly look into it on Monday.

Yup, it's a hack for 3.6. There's a hack to auto-detect mobile devices, then you can specify any theme you want to be loaded for mobile devices. They seem to have several mobile appropriate themes.

So I thought I'd bring this back up, if anyone knows of any mods we can get for this newer version. A lite version would be useful for lots of people.
Also, I noticed something when looking at another vBulletin forum recently, a change in the URL that produced a text version, so I tried it with ours (you just add this /archive after the vb/)
http://www.dallas-mavs.com/vb/archive/index.php
You have to log in again, and the threads are presented in chronological order according to when they were started (never mind, maybe they don't), which would be troublesome. I just thought it was neat.
