He's not worthless dude, that's not true at all. He had a bad game today, but he's been a real key during this hot stretch for the Mavs.

Can't leave Barea out there to defend Paul in the 4th quarter. Three guard lineup killed us. Put me in the group that blames Carlisle for this loss. Kidd's shot wasn't falling, but I don't think he was the reason we lost.

well - bad result but a decent game (considering our awful shooting in the first and forth q). Not much you can do if west and Paul don't miss shots and your own shots rim out time and time again. The offense in the fourth looked a little helpless with kidd passing it to dirk, dirk passing it back out to a wide open kidd and he just doesn't take the shot. Just because your shot doesn't fall doesn't mean you stop taking them when they are that open... especially since we kept getting offensive rebounds off of our mised threes.

Um, no he didn't. The Mavs are still in the 7th Seed and have a very good chance of remaining there.
So again, I ask--what would you think about never posting again?

No, no, no. You just don't get it. The GDT is about hyperbole and exaggeration.

Seriously. How do you put JJB on the best point guard in the NBA in the 4th Qtr? That's mind boggling. And we continue to have Kidd post Dirk so the Hornets can automatically double Dirk with no fear.

Let me change what I said. Kidd is a solid player but his scoring is worthless. A good shooter. Maybe even a great shooter when wide open. But if the ball isn't in Kidd's hands he's worthless. I've seen it all season long. The guy can't hit layups or mid range shots. He can hit the WIDE OPEN 3 but he's even hesitant to do that. That's worthless.

The Mavs just can't get that long ball to fall in consistently, especially when on the road.

well said, people seem to over react a lot over home wins and road losses, if Mavs lose to Houston at home then their is something to be concerned about

Yeah, but there are other facets of his game which make him an invaluable player for us. He's still a very good playmaker who is great at running the fast break and has an uncanny ability to get easier shots for other, OR put his teammates in spots where they're most effective. He's also a very good help defender, who is extremely smart.
Look, Kidd is not what he once was, but don't short change him.

the only way to contain west and paul for our team is to get them into foul trouble. They are both not good at managing their fouls. you have to take it to their bodies on offense, else they will kill you like they have today.
Oh well - If our shots fall in q1 this is a completely different game. We got to win out at home and hope the rockets and spurs take care of NO at their arenas.

I'd agree if we didn't just get raped by the Grizzlies a week ago. We should pull it out though. I'm just a little bit worried about it on a back to back night. Probably shouldn't be. Probably best we have them on a back to back anyway.

I think we will win too but it won't be easy. A lot of these non-playoff teams are playing loose and upsetting a lot of playoff teams. I can point to a number of games from last week alone (Spurs losing to OKC, Jazz losing to a depleted Warriors team)

I still want a cogent answer as to why:
A. RC played the 3 guard lineup in the 4th.
B. RC had JJB on Paul.
C. RC refused to play Damp in the 4th.
D. We didn't run the Dirk/Terry PnR until 2 minutes left.

The other game it was this 3 reversed BS-Calls. Damn i hate that league and that how the league makes players normal being "just" a star to superstar. Yiu cant touch him and he comes away with kind of everything.

By the way both the point guards blew it. Kidd and Barea. And it won't matter if we get the 6th seed if Kidd won't take an open shot.

Not short changing him at all. I'm not even referring to Kidd the player. I'm referring to Kidd the scorer and Kidd the scorer is worthless. He plays the passing lanes great. He has probably the best hands in the league. Great basketball IQ. That's not why he's worthless. He's a worthless scorer and him being a worthless scorer hurts Dirk more than anyone as you can see tonight. They just throw Paul to help out Posey without any regard for Kidd. The good definately outweigh's the bad for Kidd but I can no longer ignore how bad of a offensive scorer he is. He wasn't always like this and I don't think it has to do with age. He's too hesitant. And the worst part is when he's hesitant and still throws the shot up. That's a shot no one in the league ever hits.

I can't defend Kidd here. Offensively he's one of the most limited players in basketball unfortunately.
You're right.

As an NBA analyst, you would know the seeding situation regardless of what the paper said. And I highly doubt it was a fact checking error by the people who do that for their lives. Oh, and Wilbon knew. So yeah. And my beef with him is he's an incredulously annoying human being who's bad at his job. Yes, I know he went to UNC, he's obviously not illiterate.

Now wait now. I think the league does try to make players look better than they really are but Paul is the real deal. Definition of a superstar. He has no weaknesses in his game at all. Other than flopping but I wouldn't consider it a weakness since it helps his team more than it hurts.

I know we're 7th, just was trying to over emphasize how bad playing by Kidd can send us back there to the 8th spot. Thanks tho, I understand how it sounded.

You know more about him then I do lol. I didn't know he went to UNC lol. I don't think he's illiterate I just think he tries to be "hip" and sort of incorporate slang into his commentary. I was watching that post game and was wondering what the hell Jon Barry and him were talking about when talking about the Lakers and Mavs. I thought maybe they said Jazz and I heard wrong.
