We can only hope and pray, but I am afraid the bandwagoners and trolls will still be with us.

First, I just want to say thanks to all our German fans on this board. Your dedication to following the Mavs is unbelievable. I have a hard time following west coast games since I live in the eastern time zone, but you guys have to brave through the middle of the night to watch games live. I am proud to call you all friends and could not ask for a more knowledgeable group of Mav Fans.
I know we will be facing the ups and downs of this playoff season, we will cheer and jeer as we watch our Mavs fight for their right to wear those elusive rings. If they were to pull it off this year, there would be those who said they knew all along that they would do it. But there are no more loyal fans than those here at Dallas-Mavs.com and no matter which flag you fly, we can say "our team did it!!"
I hope that we can fly the NBA championship banner at the end of the playoffs to bring us even closer together. I am looking forward to all your comments during these playoffs, I just hope that it is a long time before we say goodbye to this season.
Go Mavs!!!!!

win or loss, nothing will be decided tonight, but a great start could set the tone for the rest of the series and the playoffs. I will be ready at 1 am.

ty! what should I say... in my case it will be even 2 AM, 'cause I'm living in Finland and that's Eastern European Time. Yeah, sometimes it's very hard to stand up in the middle of the night or, in the worst case, if the game will be on the west coast, in the early morning around 4.30 or so. Sure, I can't watch every game due to work, but if possible, I do. GO MAVS!

If we win this game by double digits I predict a mental breakdown from the Hornets. Then if we make it three straight wins (two playoff games, both on the road), just forget it.
It's also good to know their catalyst to this entire seasons success doesn't have any playoff experience. It shouldn't shake an MVP contender but we'll see how he responds.

my friends, so optimistic! what about the Return of the Playoffs to the City of New Orleans? will the fans be as berzerker as GSW fans last year? will we be shellshocked when our shots don't fall?
i think we'll get off to a slow start and play catch up the rest of the way. get it close in the 4th. we lose 103-95.

All I can say is that the harder you root for a team, the more you suffer BUT when that elusive victory finally arrives no one enjoyes it more!!! Let this be the year.

I just want to see Dirk not get into is shell like he did against Golden State. Look for NO to take Dirk out of the game early. They did that somewhat during the last game. Dirk looked horrible, his shot looked horrible, and he looked rushed. I know he won't be risking much because of his injury, but sometimes you realize that you won't have many more seasons and opportunities to get to the finals, you have to risk all....

I'm so ready for today. All the ups and downs of the regular season is behind us. This is the time to make noise and crush the competition.
I'm having a few friends over and we're bbq'ing. I won't be here during the game and depending on the outcome I might not be here afterwards.
Go Mavs!!
