Fortunately, this Mavs team has shown at times that it can switch to a suffocating man defense when necessary, so I'm not concerned - just saying.

Miami got embarrassed against us (and against the zone), then they beat a lot of crappy teams with their pure talent level and in the 2nd game against us they fail AGAIN against the zone..

Yes, but the point is that when you play the same team two (or three or seven) times in a row without any other (crappy) teams in between, you have more reason to focus on that team's weaknesses specifically. A decent coaching staff will be able to make adjustments that make the next game more interesting (at the very least).
Miami's two losses to us could be attributed to their getting cocky during their 12-game win streak and not making the right adjustments, or it could just be (more likely scenario) that they and their coaching staff just plain suck at team basketball.

At least they're adjusting to us and not the other way around.
(plus, we don't play a "standard" zone - we're constantly mixing up our defensive looks...)

Denver scored 2 more points the second night. NO scored 4 more points. I'm not sure that's "figuring out" anything.

No, but it's at least making things more interesting.

When you do, do you promise to quit sucking momma's teat? Maybe quit taking an allowance?
