Stoopid Small Ball Trade
Dallas trades: C Shawn Bradley (3.3 ppg, 2.7 rpg, 0.1 apg in 11.2 minutes)
Dallas receives: PG Earl Boykins (12.9 ppg, 1.9 rpg, 3.7 apg in 25.1 minutes)
PG Jeff Trepagnier (12.9 ppg, 1.9 rpg, 3.7 apg in 25.1 minutes)
Change in team outlook: +9.6 ppg, -0.8 rpg, and +3.6 apg.
Denver trades: PG Earl Boykins (12.9 ppg, 1.9 rpg, 3.7 apg in 25.1 minutes)
PG Jeff Trepagnier (12.9 ppg, 1.9 rpg, 3.7 apg in 25.1 minutes)
Denver receives: C Shawn Bradley (3.3 ppg, 2.7 rpg, 0.1 apg in 15 games)
Change in team outlook: -9.6 ppg, +0.8 rpg, and -3.6 apg.
loses the completely worthless Shawn Bradely who can't shoot 3's worth a damn. Boy can we play small ball now. Just imagine a Nash, Delk, Best, Boykins, and Trepagnier lineup. What mismatches that would cause. Tremendous move. If we could just get Denver to agree.
Just think by playing Boykins at center, no team in this league would have a 5 who can guard him.

No way that Shaq can guard Boykins. Shaq would have to retire in humiliation.

RE:Stoopid Small Ball Trade
OK since Boykins is so dominant as a center, Denver might not want to give him up. In that case we need a backup plan. Enter Allan Houston the New Mavs center. This plan B has the benefit of getting rid of those players unable to guard a dominant player like Boykins and replacing them with ones that at least have a chance.

PG Charlie Ward (9.3 ppg, 3.4 rpg, 5.6 apg in 27.0 minutes)
SF Shandon Anderson (7.7 ppg, 2.8 rpg, 1.1 apg in 24.8 minutes)
SG Allan Houston (19.7 ppg, 2.2 rpg, 2.4 apg in 38.1 minutes)

I was with that last one, but Jackson just broke a finger.
Can't trade for damaged goods.

Make this one a three way deal by sending Snow, Najera, and TAW to Golden State, and we can get Nick back! Marc Jackson will will make up for Dirk's rebounds, and Buckner can play defense better than that Irk Norwitsky can anyway. Plus we won't miss Irk's scoring when we have Nick who everyone knows is the NBA's best playoff performer of all time.
