If we win this game, I think we win the series....Denver is going to let it all hang out 1st & 2nd quarter. I wouldn't be surprised to see a 20 pt lead...Just hope that Dallas can hang in there, have a couple of things go their way, hope that Stern see's the financial benefit of a seething/angry series and have the ref's make a few bad Denver calls, hope that a few Denver players get ejected during the game tonight, etc....
I don't give the Mavs a good chance, but there is a chance...

Prediction: Denver fans embarrass themselves even more than ours did. Nuggets smile a lot.Damp plays with maximum give up.
Nuggets 117
Mavericks 94
Prove me wrong Dallas. I dare you.

If the refs call the game like Game 1 and 2 in Denver, Nuggets by 23, or 28. If they call it like they did Game 3, Nuggets by 3. I don't see us winning there, with their home crowd.

D Crawford is who we hate - not Joe - he calls a TON of fouls and doesn't like physical play.....
Denver has lost 8 of 10 with J Crawford (lost all 3 this season)
Dallas has won 6 of the last 10 with J crawford (5 of 7 this season)
Garretson was ref when we beat SA in game 5.
dallas was 3-3 with him this season
denver was 5-3 with him this season
he whistled the win of denver over us without kidd and josh
Kennedy isnt good for either - we are 2-3 this season and denver is 3-3
if you look at denver home games the three are a combined
7-3 (losses to La, Boston and San Antonio)
Dallas on the road:
3-6 (losses to OKC, MIL, HOU,DEN, NO,UTA , wins over SA,Por,Orl)
I think the refs aren't going to be Dallas issue today.

I hate to say it but you can put a fork in us tonight as we will be done. I wish we would have been as strong as the nuggets but we were just too soft for their play. Another summer of wondering is upon us.

hmm. Both Joey Crawford and Bill Kennedy have some history of techs and ejections that have warranted punishment by the league. What is Stern up to?

Let's go Mavs. I say put Green or Singleton in early and let them play a little rough and see if we can bait this team into acting out.

I have a feeling that unless the Mavs are in the mood for more rough play and hard fouls we will lose this game big. If we shoot well and take it to the hole relentlessly we will be back in Dallas!
Hopefully this won't be the last game of the season.

Actually i have a good feeling about the refs.
Joey is famous for getting a boner with the whole homecourt yelling at him after calls against the home team.
I also think the league dont wannt a rough game with tons of hard fouls, flagrants or ejections, so it will be a lot of ticky tacky calls. If they go 50:50 and not like in the first Denver games we have a chance. It will be good when Denver cant beat the crap out of us on defense.
And please dont play hard fouling from minute 1. Check first how the refs are handling this game or you are more fast ejected than Damp making his first turnover.
Another key: Please avoid crappy TO leading to fastbreak-highlight dunks and avoid any huge run from Denver or its over within minutes. We dont need the crowd on fire after a bonehead Terry-TO with a fastbreak tomahawk dunk from Crymella or JR Shit.

Alot of those were also fouls that weren't called. So if the fouls are called, the turnovers will stay manageable.

I know. Hope the refs see it this game. But anyway, then just take more care and expect a lot of contact during the handling the ball...

Good post...I agree. We need to start strong and stay away from fouls, especially Dampier. We will need his inside presence late in the game, at this point I just really don't trust Dirk and Bass as our primary inside defenders/rebounders/shot-blockers.
A key for the Mavs defensive success in this series has been ultimately determined by the guards getting back on the fastbreak. We cannot turn the ball over and allow Carmelo to get easy points.
With that said, no way that this game gets out of hand as a blowout for the Nuggets. Mavs are pissed about this not being 2-2 and want to keep playing. Book me as a Mavs fan who thinks we have a realistic shot in this series if we win tonight.
Mavs 117
Thugs 113

I think this Game early on will be reminiscent of game 4, they will come out blazing and angry. They will hit tough shots and they will look invincible. And the home crowd will be rocking. We must keep our compusure and fight through all of this. And if we can we will win the game and send it back to Dallas. But if we fold we will lose.
I don't think we will fold.

You guys think David Stern personally decides which refs work each game?
Let's just stop about the officiating. As long as we keep jacking up jumpers most of the time, we've got no right to complain.
