When is that Wii motion plus coming out anyway?
I'm looking forward to that new Wii sports game...bc that's about as serious as I am about gaming these days. The Wii sits collecting dust most weeks.

I'm disappointed in the lack of a Wii version (as that's what I have), but I understand. The differences in CoD 5 from the Wii to the 360 are pretty apparent. Looks bitchin', at any rate. I can't wait... to watch my roommate play it.

I got my arcade (my premium died, *cough* I had hacked an 120GB into the case *cough*) and I paid 160ish with dell and some coupons. If you are willing to buy some dell gift certificates you might be able to get it for less. A friend of mine paid around 100 bucks for his (he had an 100 dollar GC that he bought for 75 bucks + some discounts from his employer).
The discounts can be from 20% to 30% in some instances, just google dell coupons.

exactly, looks cool and is definitely a wii killer in theory... but all i kept thinking when i saw that was "yeah, right".
Voice rec? yeah, i get that. even recognizing movement (didn't PS2 have some kind of "eye" thing for recognizing movement?) i get.
but recognizing individual movement of 4 people sitting on the couch right next to each other? putting the dress on the representation of the girl? yeah, right. Seems kind of pipe dreamish. wonder if they announced a release date. or a price point.
All of these "demos" seem unbelievably scripted and pre-planned. All of milos responses seem pre-scripted. Not to mention that it looks like "claire" is in the same room only through the tv magic of green screens.
Just the tech cynic in me i guess.
speaking of cool-looking, this looks better than all 3 prequels combined.

Even if it works like that....I'm very unlikely to go buy a 360, and then purchase the camera system for an additional $99 (this is speculation I read a few places). I'm not a hard core gamer....Microsoft will try to now straddle the line between the Wii/family demo and the Halo college guy. I will be curious to see how that goes.

Dear EA Sports,
I have bought your 'NHL XX' game for 15 years now, and the reason I play it is because it's fun to dominate the teams and players I loathe in real life. It's fun to win by a lot...every time. It's fun to have the game in doubt on occasion... like one out of thirty. But again, domination and imaginary goal scoring records is what I'm typically after.
So why, oh why in the _ _ _ _ is it so damned hard to score a damn goal in NHL 2009?

I'm sure the reply would be:
Dear EA Sports Lover,
Sucks to be you. And don't forget Madden '10 coming out this summer! Thanks

Soul Calibur for 10 bucks new is certainly a bargain. Pretty fun game. Of note so far in E3 (for me anyway, from initial observation):
The new Forza Motorsport looks stunning, hopefully it plays that great as well. 400 cars, Full damage model? Rollovers? Great physics? Wow.
Tekken is coming to the 360. Well, I was thinking of getting a PS3, not too sure anymore....
Edit: Modern Warfare 2. How could I forget? Then again, someone already made a dedicated thread IIRC.

It's not even funny how easy it is to score on NHL 09. The main way i score is when i'm coming down from the wing, wait til you get to the edge of the goal, deke once, backhand it in. It works 75% of the time. Another way is the wrap around. And since i pretty much play the game 2 or 3 times a day, i've just about mastered the one-timer on the break. The hardest goals to score are from the point. I dropped 32goals twice in franchise mode (once against toronto and atlanta) with the Hurricanes (they're not that good on the game). I average close to 20 goals per game.

On the PC version?
That first night I was pumping like 50~ shots on goal and getting 1 or 2 for my effort. Last night I scored 6, 6, and 9 in games so I think I've figured it out a little. More one timer passes from behind the goal line, more walking out into the slot and aiming carefully.
On so many versions past it seemed like firing them in from the outside and getting deflections and rebounds yielded easy goals but I'm not finding that to be the case with this one yet.

What is the best "Zelda" type game out there for Wii or 360?
I bought a Wii for the kids, and now one of them won a 360 on Monday.
I don't even have a clue what games are out there anymore.

i have it on ps3. i haven't played the pc version since nhl 2000. when you're on the break, wait until the defensemen is about to commit, do a quick turn, pass it across ice and do the one-timer. the more i practice it, the higher the success rate. that's good for 2-4 goals per game.

Actually, the best "Zelda-type" game for the Wii is still Zelda...

Star Wars: The Old Republic (trailer)
I have no idea what kind of game this is, but the action in this trailer was better than anything I saw in the prequels - it almost looks like Zach Snyder (300, Watchmen) directed it... If this is anything like Knights of the Old Republic, then I'm in!

2K vs Live
So I'm borrowing my friends 360 with the intent to pick one up myself eventually. I've never really been in to the sports games, mostly because I've never wanted to drop money on the latest and greatest, but I'm thinking about grabbing an NBA game. What's the best one to get, 2K or Live? Or should I wait til the 2010 stuff comes out? When does that happen? Any thoughts?

I'll buy it, I'm sure. I've been disappointed with both GH: Metallica and GH: Smash Hits, so I'll be looking forward to some new material.
I'm currently replaying Kingdom Hearts. Almost done. When I do, I'll go on to KH2.

I'm still playing the new Madden and I'm pissed to the highest level because there is a Madden Moment I simply can't get past.
The deck is so stacked that any kind of minor slip up totally kills the chances, it's so annoying!

I've been playing Madden for Wii. I've read bad reviews, but i'm enjoying it. it's just FUN and the point and pass sytem is awesome. If anyone has a wii, there IS franchise mode on Madden 10, you just have to unlock it with the code THEWORKS. Not sure why.
I also modded my wii to hook up an external hard drive via usb to store all my games. It is AWESOME.

Batman: Arkham Asylum for PS3.
Great game. Great graphics. Best Batman game I've ever played.
It's just way too short. I beat the story mode in two days. There are still a lot of secondary goals though.
