Have to agree we just do NOT have another guy who can get to the ft line or drive and kick without doing a brain fart. It's going to bite us big, big time.
We are desperate for a guy with handles....
...yeah one with courtvision and awareness, and maybe some common sense.
I wonder if our starting SG spot interests Jamal Crawford. Maybe ATL would be interested in a 6th man swap. I like JETs personality but it won't win us a ring. I would do Jet + for him. It probably wouldn't be the end all answer but it would be a much better option because he has great handles and a good shot. His defense isn't much better than Jet but he is taller. I'm not sure Atl would do this without a lil something extra added to sweeten the pot. It seems like he is fitting in there pretty well but he's not a starter so if we made the offer close enough for them, they can have a 6th man that is fully aware that he is a 6th man and doesn't complain about it.
Damp-Kaman
Jet-Crawford,
I think this gets us a little closer and opens up a few more doors, has a few more posibilities.
Josh is 6th man now, due to potential of injury.

I really liked Jet in the spurs game as he was taking it into the paint all night and then bam, next night against UTAH same old stuff. He had 14 shots and half of them were 3s!!! That crap has got to stop of he needs to be shipped out. Jkiddo is the ONLY player that should be shooting close to half of their shots from 3point land.
Made me sick watching dirk try to get it done by going inside and getting hammered and the rest of the team pissing around.

I know. I have said that crap has got to stop for a cpl years now off and on. But it doesn't and won't. It's part of him the same way he shoots at a very high % for a few games and then falls off to a very low %. A little too streaky. I still like him tho, the team just has needs and moving him to get something has become ok with me.
I know there are some that might not like JCrawfrd but to me it doesn't seem like it's too much risk to get a reward. Neither player would start in ATL, but Crawford could start here and it would give RC the same feel as having JJB and Kidd, two guards that move the ball pretty well, except now we would have someone who could break the defense down and finish or whatever need be done.

ATL wouldn't do that trade Crawford actually plays a little defense, they aren't going to make a risky trade like howard or terry for crawford.

just saying he's at least serviceable. everybody and everything is messed up in Washington right now. except for Jamison, he seems to be above it all. even Caron is shooting a horrible %.

Jamal Crawford as a step towards a ring makes me throw up.
The guy has a nice season because he is in a winning team with a franchise player on his position, so he cant fuck up much. But he was always a horrible "wannabe hero" chucker. Just check his crunchtime FGA...
I remember a game he played for the Knicks against Denver or Nets. He dribbles, lose the ball to Najera, Najera is just stupid trying to do a wild pass for fastbreak points, Crawford get the ball with incredible luck back and throws a long desperation three that hits. In the postgame interview he brags how many buzzerbeater he allready had in his career. Nothing about his TO and Najeras brainfart or overall all his crunchtime bricks.
Crawford sucks and he isnt that huge upgrade.

Sort of sounds like you are letting on game color everything. I don't know crawford from shinola. I'm also not sure we need a huge upgrade(sure I'd take one but getting on is another story) but just a different one. Jet is productive and the jet/dirk pnr has won many a game, but he is streaky and is not a very good distributor at all.

No, i saw several games with crunchtime and Crawford in blind hero mood. And i saw 4th quarter statistics...
Yes Terry is streaky, Crawford is a 40.7% CAREER shooter. And his defense sucks too. I dont trade a lockerroom glue guy for such a chucker.
The same with Ben Gordon. He could be so much better if he wouldnt go always in this blind chucker mode at the end of games.

Haha, Im not sure you watched the video you posted. He didn't lose his dribble to Najera. Najera was on the other side of the damn court. But after the TO he did then steal the ball back from him in a nice defensive play and then took a three and canned it with very little time left on the clock. I can see how he may have lost track of how much time was left with all the goings on. Anyway, I'm sure we can dig up at least one video or recall a moment that we don't care for about most players around the league. If you have a lot of hate for him then fine, but you can't take a player from a bad team and forever label him. You remember seing Jet and Jho jacking up jumper after jumper all game long? You don't have to go back very far.
I'm not sure where I EVER said he was "that huge" upgrade. We just need an upgrade at that position, period.

I didnt mean he lost the dribble to Najera, i meant that whole sequence with dribbel, pass, TO, Najera steal etc.
In that play he did a stupid pass and got incredible lucky because Najera was just dumb.
And im too lazy to search now statistics, but i saw enough.
Well, if you count everything (lockerroom, experience etc) Crawforf is no upgrade at all over Terry. And yes, Terry chucks too.
But thats just my opinion...

Wizards I am not sure, Butler is a very good player and underrated in my oponion but who else of use are they willing to deal? Jamison doesn't fit on this team he can play the 3 offensivly but he isn't laterally quick enough to stay with 3s defensively.
Who do the bucks have they want to trade and of value now that Redd is out for the season? Bogut would be nice but I am not sure if he is available if so this works : http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMa...radeId=yj3429x
Philly's only player they really want to trade is Brand and he has no place on this team

Now way Bogut is going anywhere, especially for what we would offer.
How do you know this about Brand?
I would be more willing to believe they would let go of Iggy and Dalembert for Howard and Damp to save huge cash.

All I know is that Utah, Sacramento, and Philly are looking to move players we can use, and we want at least one difference making player from their teams. One of them, come mid-February, has to be desperate enough to be willing to move those players for our expirings. I believe it is inevitable that one of those teams caves, but I'm just taking it on faith, knowing how much teams with owners that aren't Mark Cuban hate spending money. That being said, I don't see us moving the DUST Chip this early, which is why I think Josh would be the one to move, which I hate because I love to dude and would hate to see a piece of our core leave. If he does leave, I hope he would resign next summer.

Josh Howard for Iggy or Martin. Not many more available 2 guards than that. And if we can't get them, don't move JHo unless we're getting Kaman or something, which I doubt.

Josh Howard's status is in doubt for tonight's road game against the Washington Wizards.
Howard did not attend the Mavericks' morning shootaround.
"Not feeling well," coach Rick Carlisle told the media.
Howard's illness hits at a bad time. The Mavs are still adjusting to having him in the starting lineup. They are 2-2 since Howard reclaimed his starting role.

Thaddeus Young is starting over Brand. Philly's at their best running, especially when Young is manning the 4. Young got on the NBA map in march-april 2008 when Philly put up a good couple of months. Got a brain fart when they decided to sign Brand.

I don't know, your Dust Chip upgrades to Iguodala. Not sure how bad Dalembert has been since signing that contract. How are his hands, can he finish around the cup?

I think I would make that move, Dust Chip for Iguodala essentially is what it comes down too. Make the move. Have Dalembert settle into the 5 spot. It's not a bad starting 5. See how it does. Come back with the same bunch, use the MLE on 1 or maybe 2 of the players that trickle out of FA. We still have JJ, Boobs, Jet, Ross another year. Maybe pay a big body or 2.

Josh Howard needs to be traded, did you guys see all of our ball movement tonight?! If he was here he definetely would have F'd it up. And btw Caron Butler>>>>Josh Howard. That crossover, behind the back move, pump fake, and 1 play is a move that Josh Howard could never ever pull off. Caron needs to show Josh how to dribble a basketball.
