A coach that doesn't believe Najera should be a part of the regular rotation.

Another wasted season.
F*ck the Spurs. I hope they all break their knees and get swept in the second round.

Any moderator that wants to delete the word "f*ck" as in "F*ck the Spurs" when they've just eliminated us from the playoffs is not going to be taunted.

This off season is all about making your biggest presentation for Wade, Lebron or Bosh. Anything else means bust. I'm not talking about the Joe Johnsons of the NBA because they aren't going to cut it. These guys don't show up more often than you think even if they do put up flashy numbers often. Cuban will definitely be pushing for those three and he'll probably need to focus on Wade and Bosh.
We don't need players who are going to be questionable showing up each game. We need a player that other teams need to game plan for. If this doesn't happen then Dirk should leave and we should scrounge up as much young talent as possible. Yes I understand this means suffering through another decade of failure and mediocrity but honestly, what else can you do?

Not that this would happen...but how interesting it would be for Dirk to end up in Boston...Finish off his career where Bird left....

Why would we get rid of anyone or bring people in when this series was valuable experience for these group of players, we'll win a championship soon enough.

Kidd (just hope he doesnt play another playoff series like that)
Roddy
Butler
Marion (untradeable)
Dirk
Haywood (resign)
Thats the core. Everyone else can go. Specially Terry SHOULDNT get any big role anymore if he stays.

Valuable experience? The majority of the team (or at least the core) has been to the playoffs many a time. If they can't get out of the first round this time what makes you think they will learn next year? This team lacks execution. Execution at the start of games, execution at the end of games, execution in practice.
This team was awesome in close games in the regular season. What good was that in this series?
This team was on of the best road teams in the league this season. What good was that in this series?

I wonder if Cuban has had enough...I wonder if he will sell...
A new owner can come in and let all of the expiring contracts walk, trade some of the more attractive pieces remaining for some draft picks over the next two years.
Cuban has been unusually quiet this year...I just don't see him blowing/sinking any more money into this organization.
I think the Butler, Haywood was the last big trade he was going to pull off. There is absolutely, absolutely no chance of getting Wade, Lebron or Bosh here. We have never pulled off an big names into Dallas, except through trades.
Also, I think you've seen the last of Donnie Nelson. RC, unfortunately will still be around...

He's turned the Mavs around but now can't be a good time to sell. MJ bought the Bobcats on a major discount when they were having their best season in a long time.
He hasn't been quiet IMO. Clamoring for Matrix for DPOY, JKidd to ASG, "hate the Spurs", the chest puffing at the ASG, talk about using Texas Stadium in the future.
As Dirk ages or retires, he may consider it if it makes business sense.

Cuban will look hard to pull something big with the dust, but it wont something like giving JJ the max...
But if Dust fails i dont see him giving out another Marion like contract for an older guy....
Dust
Stevenson 5mio expiring
MLE
Terry (2nd year half guaranteed)
At least there is something to work with...

This would be a tragedy of epic proportions. Donnie Nelson and the Butler/Haywood trade are one of the biggest reasons that the Mavs were even able to reach the 2nd seed. Rick Carlisle and his idiotic rotations are one of the biggest reasons for the first round exit.
This is what I hate the most - the offseason. Knowing that it's going to be another long summer full of "what ifs," Dirk doubting himself for no good reason, and hearing fans of other teams call the Mavs weak-willed. Months without being able to watch Dirk have his way with defenders, months without having go-to entertainment after work, months and months and months of waiting for the first tipoff of next season.
Months of wondering how much older Kidd, Dirk, Butler, and Marion will be after another summer.
Sigh.

1) Do not resign Barea
2) Trade Najera
3) Resign Haywood
4) Trade JET
5) Trade Carroll (a joke mainly, but hey the opportunity arises...)
6) DUST Chip to acquire superstar*
7) Use MLE to fill some kind of void
8) When Dampier is waived, do not resign him for more than the vet min (or don't resign him at all)
9) Decide whether to keep or get rid of Carlisle

I hate having to hear Dirk in pressers after they get knocked out...so defeated and looks so somber.

I disagree with only one thing in this post. And that's Joe Johnson. You'd go for Chris Bosh over Joe Johnson? He fills a need. But if you get Joe Johnson this off season he can't be the last acquisition. You still need to take care of the interior on both sides of the ball.

I would hope Haywood would be treated like a real starting center once Dampier is traded ... again, Carlisle going with the "vet" over the player who probably will be more effective if just given minutes.

Haywood will quit being a bitch once we resign him and give him minutes. Damp is more than likely gone.

I don't blame him one bit. If Damp played over me and I was the superior center i'd be LIVID. I'd rather go back to the poor Wiz then play behind Damp.

Heard it on the ticket (Or so I think. I've had a few so I don't fully remember my source but I definitely heard it). Those guys were off their asses so it could be rhetoric.
There are teams out to get him though, New York being one of them.

Realistically what can we get for JET, Marion, Damp or even Butler.
What could a package of Damp(Dust Chip), Butler, and Roddy land us?

Are you from Boston?
or Indiana?
Or yearning for some racial legacy to pad Dirk's career in your mind?
