I saw the same thing - looks like the Nuggs might end up having a firesale of sorts when 'Melo leaves...
He wouldn't be a bad guy to add if we ship Terry - 6th Man contender, and all...

Count me in, if there was a way to make it happen. We would be younger, more athletic, better defensively, bigger at the 2...the list goes on. We would lose a fan favorite in Terry (for some) and some may also say team glue.

Why do we want this guy? He's a chucker who didn't exactly light it up last year with his 41/34% shooting last year.
I know he's young, but he seems like one of those super talented head cases who can do everything on the basketball court well, but only when he wants to. And I'm usually all for those high risk high reward guys, but JR Smith just doesn't resonate well with me.
Maybe its just because he plays for Denver. I hate Denver.

um that would make two of us. I doubt very seriously that he would become a Maverick. Honestly i'm still surprised that Tim Thomas is a Maverick. That guy use to hate us

Lots of reasons to roll the dice on this one. If Denver gives him away, why not?

Tim seemed to fit in ok with the team (when he was with the team). The same can happen with J.R. It may take a change of scenery. This would give us a tuff second squad that can bump up against the Miami's of the world. Just to be clear, I do not like J.R. much either, but we could use his services for two to three years max.

There are a few NBA players I hate more than J. R. Smith. I could probably count them on one hand, but I don't remember who they are at the moment.

Well, when he is on he is obviously an amazing scorer ... .
But if you have championship aspirations you can not sign this guy:
- Absolute thug on/off the court (likes to break through stop signs with his car in the offseason)
- Plus he is probably the worst decision maker in todays NBA. (I would be going beserk if i would have to watch him taking dumb shots early in the clock, on a regular basis)
DidnĀ“t he was recently involved in some kind of brawl at the Nuggets practice facility?
Seriously, i don't want no part of this douche bag anywhere near my beloved Mavericks.
